Change Can Be Beautiful

Hello crafty friends! April is here already and Spring for sure has arrived in Southern Ohio. We can see some new leaves, buds, and new birds visiting our backyard. Change can be beautiful, let’s embrace it.

Today, it is the Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps new release day and we are celebrating it with an Instagram Hop with theme: “Finding Beauty in Times of Change.” I join the design team sharing projects that feature both the new release and our current line of products.

On my CAS card today, I used the Embrace Change Stamp Set and Stitched Rectangle Die Set. I stamped the butterfly on heavy-weight vellum with VersaFine Clair Nocturne and then heat-embossed them with clear-glitter embossing powder. After that, I colored them with alcohol markers.

I added the vellum paper on a white cardstock and then cut it with one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies. I added black mat background cardstock to it and tied up some white twine ribbon, then added it to the card base.

I stamped the sentiment with VersaFine Clair Nocturne, trimmed it, and added it to the card with 3D foam tape.

Head over to my Instagram Post Here to enter the giveaway and to hop along with us. You will find beautiful inspiration from the hop participants for sure!!!

Thank you for stopping by my blog! Have a wonderful season.

Death Is Defeated

Happy Easter to you and your family! May the LORD bless you all today, and the power that resurrected Jesus will be in you.

“He is not here, for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay.” – Matthew 28:6

Death is defeated. The Son has risen. Hallelujah Jesus is alive!!!

On my journaling Bible page, I used Becuase of Jesus stamp set and Cloudy Day Edge stensil/mask from Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps.

It is a simple and quick way creating journaling page on the Bible.

I blended the VersaMagic Nigh Sky ink, VersaMagic Red Magic ink, VersaMagic Mango Madness ink, and VersaMagic Tea Leaves ink using blending brushes on the page. And then I stamped the image and sentiment on the page using VersaMagic Midnight Black.

I colored the mountain and sun with Prismacolors pencil colors.

DIY Watercolored Bookmarks

Hello crafty friends! Today, I want to share with you how to make these Spring themed bookmarks.

These bookmarks are a great gift for book lovers, or donating to your local library, or even just for you to use personally. You can make a batch of them in a short time! Over Imagine Crafts Blog, I share step by step tutorial.

I find that Canson Watercolor Paper 140lb is the best to make bookmarks. They are not only thick and sturdy, but also you can use any craft  techniques with this paper – either simply stamping, or watercoloring, or even mixed media.

Cut a piece of watercolor paper into 6 inch x 1 ¾ inch size. One piece of this 9 x 12 watercolor paper, you can get 10 bookmarks.

You can leave it as a rectangle or you can round the corner with the corner rounder punch. Next, use a ¼ inch hole punch to punch a hole at the center top of the bookmark for ribbon or teasel.

Here are the supplies I used:
