With Love

Today, I am sharing a Valentine’s Day card again 🙂 This time I am sharing a card I made using a selective stenciling techique with watercolor that I learned from The StampNation class – Creative Stencil and Medium class.

With Love.... A one-layer, clean and simple card. Watercolor using stencil. More on my blog -- http://wp.me/p1DmW0-2ei #thestampnation #creativestencilandmedium #thedailymarker3day #ssswchallenge #stamplorationscascardchallenge #WordArtWednesdayChallenge #watercoloring #cardmaking #handmadecard #valentinecard #onelayercard #cleanandsimplecard

I used Canson Watercolor paper 140 lbs as card base. I did the selective coloring using Blossom Silhouettes – ARTplorations Stencil using Distress Mink Ink Pad (Fired Brick and Mowed Lawn) that I added the inks on the acrylix blocks and using Aquash watercolor brush (Pentel) to paint. I learned that using less water on the brush is better and would give better control of the ink when using stencil, becuase if the brush too wet, the ink or watercolor paint will bleed under the stencil.

To give extra something to the background, I added some splatter using watercolor brush and some Black paint from Simple Art watercolor paint (Loew Cornell).

When the splatters dried completely, I stamped the sentimen from Someone Special (CTMH) with Black Chalk Edger (Prima Marketing) and adding some shadow on it using light grey watercolor paint.

I finished my card with a border I cut out of the Delilah designer paper from Scrapbok pack (I got this brand at Walmart).

So love how this card turn out 🙂 I do hope you also like it and be inspired! THANK YOU SO MUCH for visiting my blog today!

  1. I really like it. The simplicity of those five blooms is really heartwarming. The splatter looks a bit like dew.Thank you so much for joining our 219th challenge at Word Art Wednesday this next fortnight. Your creation is inspiring, beautiful and very much appreciated. Blessings, Carole
