Watercoloring with Tombow Dual Brush Pens: Fragrance Of Christ

Good morning! It is August already! I hope you all have been having fun during this Summer break. Today, I am sharing a watercolored card that I did using Tombow dual brush pens for the first time 🙂

My husband got me a set of Tombow Dual Brush Pen – Primary set not too long ago and I love this first set. I have been practicing hand-lettering with writing God’s word every day and I always want to try to watercolor with them, too.

I used the Stampendous – Cling Bird Blossom Rubber Stamp Set. I love the gorgeous blooms that come in this set. On Canson watercolor paper 140 lbs, I stamped the images using VersaFine Onyx Black ink. I used the masks for the set to stamp The other bloom and leaves, too.

Then I started added some colors only along the edge of the images with the Tombow dual brush pen. Using my CTMH paintbrush, I wet it with some water and started pulling out of the colors to color the whole image. I was so impressed to see how these pens works amazing as watercolor medium, too!

I keep my card clean and simple. Once I was done with the watercoloring and the panel was dried well (I used my CTMH Craft heater to dry it faster :D), I stamped one of the sentiment from Our Daily Bread Designs – Sweet As Perfume with VersaFine Onyx Black Ink.

I trimmed down the watercolored panel a little bit, then added it on the card with the American Craft – Black Glitter ribbon. I used lots of adhesive runner on the back of the panel to make sure it stick well amd flat. Then I decided to add some glitter on the blooms with Wink Of Stella glitter brush for more sparkle amd shine 🙂 I finished it with some of the gems from Hampton Art.
