Mixed Media Card: Merry & Bright

You would think that house supplies are only for house, but some of the paper-crafters are just so creative to use house supplies for paper-craft projects. And this week I had a fun experiment with foil. Thanks to many amazing people who share tutorials on YouTube! 🙂

I embossed the foil for this card background.

First I run the cardtock panels through Xyron create a sticker max. This is an easy way to add adhesive all over bigger panel cardstocks.

Second, I added the foil on them. Make sure to do it on the flat smooth surface to have the best result.

Third, using my micro-tip scissors I cut the extra foil. Then I embossed them using WRMK Next Level embossing folders, WRMK Tribal pattern embossing folder, and Darice snowflake embossing folder with my WRMK Evolution Advanced machine.

I love how they turn out, especially the ones with Next Level embossing folders.

To put the card together, I added the tag and ribbon first on the embossed foil and then added the panel on the card base. Using my WRMK Corner rounder, I rounded the bottom corners.

This card I link up at the HLS August Mixed Media Challenge with theme “Metal”.

  1. Oh my goodness, Helen … these are such stunning embossed backgrounds … love how the bold tag sentiment reflects that the one you used here is truly that … merry and bright … brilliant! Anita 🙂
