Father’s Day Gift Idea: Gift Bag and Card Set

Mother’s Day just passed. We celebrated it in a special way by doing what we love to do as family: tent-camping, hiking, and doingĀ out door fun activities. The next special day is the Father’s Day and it is about a month away! Can’t you believe that?

Picking a Father’s Day gift is a challenge every year šŸ™‚ But it will make easier if you know a special thing that they love or what is their wish list.Ā Our favorite gift is handmade gifts. My daughter and IĀ love to make gifts as an expression our loves to the special person in our lives, our Papa. This year, I made a set of note cards and gift bag for him.

Here’s the card I made for him where the kids and I will write notes for him. I run a blue cardstock with the Darice stripe embossing folder through my diecutting machine to create the background mat. The triangle border, I die cut it using Taylored Expressions triangle die plate and silver glitter cardstock, and I cut it to fit as border.

For the sentiment, I stamped the sentiment from Joy Clair – Dad’s DayĀ Clear Stamps on a white cardstock with Versafine Onyx Black Ink Pad, and die cut it with Our Daily Bread Designs – Pierced Circles Dies.

I added the triangle border with Glitter Glue Adhesive, then I wrapped around the twine, and added the sentiment circle with 3D foam tape on it. And I added the whole panel on the white card base with 3D foam tape.

I created a set of note cards as gift. I simply embossed the white cards with We Are Memory Keepers – ClassicĀ Embossing Strips. He loves stationary and write notes for special occasions. I put all the note cards and envelopes inside a gold white chevron paper gift bag.

I sealed the gift bag with the fun ribbon that I created with Joy Clair – Dad’s Day Clear stamps. It is very simple and quick to create it.

First, I stamped the ribbon image on a white cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink Pad using Mini MISTI stamping Toll. And then I color it with the ShinHan Touch Twin Markers. Then I fussy cut it with micro-tip scissors (or you can also cut it out with the svg cutting files that comes with every stamp set you get from Joy Clair website).

And it is done. Our gift ready to give it to the world’d greatest Papa ever on Father’s Day which we will be on our vacation trip in Indonesia later.

ODBD Weekly Inspiration: You Are Appreciated

Hello everyone… Mother’s day is in 2 days and school will be out in less than 2 weeks! Can’t you believe that? Summer break is almost here! I am excited šŸ˜€ I hope you all are, too.

Today, I have another appreciation card for teacher to share with you. I created it using Our Daily Bread Designs May New Release stamps and custom die sets.

For the base, first I cut out the Lattice Background Die with white and black cardstocks and put them together slightly overlapping. For the frame,Ā I cut out the frame using Rectangles Dies. I added the some distress ink on the frame. And then I added the lattice background on the white card base, and added the frame on top of it using double side tape.

I cut out the red, green and black cardstock using the A+ Apples Dies. I put each apple together with liquid adhesive and added a twine bow on each of them, too. Then I added the biggest one on the card, next the medium apple, and last the smallest one. I added the A+ with 3D foam tape.

For the sentiment, I stamped the sentiment from Class Act stamp setĀ on a white cardstock with black archival ink and then I cut it out using the Double Stitched Pennant Flags Dies. And I added some red ink along the edge of the pennant banner. I added the sentiment banner on the card with adhesive and tucked it under the apple a little bit.

I finished the card with some red gems. This card is flat enough for mailing too. That’s my card for today. I hope you all are having a fantastic weekend with your family. Have blessed day and thank you for stopping by.

Joy Clair: God Created Us In His Image

Hello everyone…Today I have a Bible journaling page to share with you all. The Bible verse I journal today is from Genesis 1:27

“So God created man in his own image,

in the image of God he created him;

male and female he created them.”

This is an amazing truth to know that we all were created in God’s image. When I was in school until college I had a low-selfesteem and had no confident at all. Not knowing who I was and why I was created the way it was led me to close my self to others. I felt uncomfortable being in the public.

Then in 2001, I came to know Christ and born again in Him. I found the truth. The truth set me free from all of my fears and low-selfesteem. This truth that I was created in GOD, the creator and the powerful living God. I walk in confident that God created me in his image and has perfect plans for me to live my life. This truth helps me to raise up from the ash and self-pity. This truth helps me to know all God has given to me meant for me and to make Him known and show His glory alone.

I hope this truth can set you free, too, today!

On my Bible journaling page today I am using the God’s Focus – Bible Journaling Clear Stamps, Micron Pen, Archival Ink pad, Acrylic Paints, and some die cuts. I am sharing the full postĀ on Joy Clair Blog today. I hope you all can come and visit me there!

THANK YOU so much for stopping by and have fabulous blessed day!

Mixed Media Thank You Card With Vellum Flower

Hello everyone… I am here today would like to share with you a fun mixed media card with stamps, die sets, gelatos, texture paste, and 3D handmade flowers.

I used the Lattice Background die set from Our Daily Bread Designs as the stencil to add the Ranger texture paste on the canson watercolor paper. Then I set it aside to dry.

While waiting for the background to dry, I die cut the rose petals and flowers with dies from Our Daily Bread Designs out of vellum papers. And then I added some of the Diamond Stickles on the edge of each petal and leaf. Then I put them together with dries clear adhesive.

Then I die cut one fancy fan die from Our Daily Bread Designs and then stamped the sentiment on it with Versafine Onyx Black ink pad.

Once the background dried well, I trimmed Ā the edge to fit as the mat on the cardbase. Then I added some gelatos on top of the edge, blend them with my finger, and then sprayed them with some water to create the dripping look on them.

Than I added some splats on the background with London Fog FireWorks! Spray.

To put togetherĀ the card, I added the background panel on the card base with Tombow Xtreme adhesive. Next is I added the sentiment fancy fan on the card with glue dots, and then the 3D vellum flower with the clear dries adhesive.

And that’s my card for today. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I do and inspired you to create today. THANK YOU for visiting me today and have a fabulous day!

Mixed Media Tag: You Can Fly, Be Free

Hello everyone… One of the reasons I love Spring is not only the flowers are blooming, but also the birds are singing beautifully outside of our windows at the backyard all morning.

Inspired but the birds, I created this mixed media tag for my tag ring:

I cut out canson watercolor paper 140 lbs for my tag base. Than I added some shades of blue and purples from Koi watercolor paint on the background.

I use Some Birds – ARTplorations stencil and Bloom Silhouettes – ARTplorations Stencil. I used make sponge to add the Black Distress Ink in the tag using those stencils. And then I dabbed the GooseBumps on top of the ink for extra texture on the images. Let it dried well.

Once the background wasĀ completely dry, I added some some splatters on it. Started with water, some of the London Fog FireWorks! Spray, and then I added some of the GooseBumps at the last.

I stamped the sentiment from Trendy Birds 2 – STAMPlorations stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad on white cardstock and I trimed them into word stripes. I added them on the tag with mini stapler.

I hope you all enjoy this tag as much as I do šŸ™‚ THANK YOU for stopping by my blog today!
