Ombre, Watercolored Birthday Card

Celebrating birthday is one of our favorite ways to celebrate someone’s special day in and I love sending a handmade card is to make someone’s day feel special… And today is I am sharing a card to celebrate a special birthday of someone we love.

Here’s a birthday card I made with some cool – ombre color palette:

Happy Birthday Concord & 9th

I used the Eat Cake Bundle. I created the watercolored background using Canson watercolor paper and CTMH Exclusive Inks Stamp Pads: Sapphire and Crystal Blue. Once the watercolored background is dry well, I heat-embossed the stars from the Eat Cake stamp set with Ranger™ White Super Fine Embossing Powder, VersaMark™ Ink Pad, and Craft Heater. I could not find my Edge Distresser because I forgot where I put it! So, I tear the edges.

I stamped the sentiment with the same ink pads but second generation stamping to get the softer ombre color 🙂 and then I die-cut it with the matching Eat Cake die set. For the cake, I stamped it with VersaFine ink pad and I also die-cut it with the matching die set.

Once all pieces are ready, I added the background first with Tombow adhesive runner, and then I added the silver thread on it. I secure the thread by adding the cake with 3d foam adhesive, then the sentiment with 3d foam adhesive, too.

I love the simple cool color palette on this card. What do you think? How do you celebrate someone’s special day?

Thank You for visiting me today and have a fabulous blessed day!

  1. So lovely! I love so many things in this card- the monochrome, the CAS, the twinkling stars, even the cake and the sentiment – and the fact that you’ve colored the sentiment and not the cake! Love it!!
