Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog Hop Day 1 and A Giveaway

Today I am joining the big Coffee Loving Cardmakers Spring Blog Hop! It actually started on Friday (2/27) at their blog here and there are LOTS of beautiful cards!

I will be posting a card a day until Friday, March 6, 2014. Also I have a giveaway for all of you who leave a comment on each day from today until Thursday. As easy as that. You have until Sunday, March 8th at 11:59 PM EST to leave comment on each of my blog post aboutCoffee Loving Cardmakers Spring Blog Hop. Make sure to leave your email on the comment so I can contact you if you win.

I will pick a winner randomly to win this prize: a new stamp set and a set of Annual Inspirations BT Duos Sampler from Close To My Heart. Winner announcement will be on Monday, March 9th on my blog.

And this is my first card:

I used digital stamps from Evelin Tee: Hug In A Mug and  Coffee + Me. She has cute coffee theme digital stamps on her website, Evelin T Designs. She is one of the sponsor for this blog hop.

This card is inspired by a washi card made by Marina. But instead of stamping the front of the card, I made a window at the front of the card to show the sentiment inside.

First add the washi tape (Honey Triangles Washi Tape) on the front panel of the card. This magnetic mat is an amazing tool to keep the card straight and stay put when I put the washi tape on the card. I got this new tool at Hobby Lobby last week with 40% coupon 😀

Then using a very fine pencil to mark the window.

Using a craft knife to cut the window. Remove the cutout window and trim the extra washi tape of the card.

For the inside card, I printed the digital stamp and colored it using CTMH alcohol markers (retired).

And using glue runner, I added it right in the middle of the window card.

Last step is adding the cups at the front window. I used glue pen to add them on the card after coloring them using the markers (Topiary & Honey).

Don’t forget to come back tomorrow for the Day 2 and another chance to win the prize! If you would, please take time to sign up for newsletter on the right sidebar and please visit, follow and like my social media platforms:
