ODBD June NR Blog Hop and Giveaway

Hello everyone… June is finally arrived! Summer is here. This month is special to us becuase we got married in June and we will be celebrating our 9th Anniversary!!!

Summer is one of the season when people plan their wedding. Our Daily Bread Designs new release stamps and die sets this month are gorgeous and great for celebrating the love. And I have two cards I created for this blog hop. And… there is a giveaway, too! Please read all the way to find out how you can enter 🙂

Here’s my first card that I created using the new Happy Wedding Day stamp set and mathing die, Heart Topiary. For the background I used the new background die, Scalloped Chain Die. LOVE this background die that I die cut one of the solid colored paper. I think it gives the lacey look 🙂

I used one of the patterned papers from the new Wedding Wishes 6×6 paper collection on that background that I added under the Scalloped Chain die cut.

I stamped the heart topiary image and birds on a white cardstock and die cut it with the matching die. Then I colored them with my alcohol markers and added extra sparkle with glitter brush.

For the sentiment, I stamped it on one of the wood patterned papers from Wedding Wishes 6×6 paper collection with archival black ink pad, then die cut it with one of the Ovals Dies. I also cut out one of the colored solid papers as oval mat under the topiary.

For my second card I created it with the new Long Lasting Love stamp set. Don’t you think that cake is gorgeous? I also use the new Scalloped Chain Die for the background. For the background paper and solid papers, they are from the new Wedding Wishes Paper Collection.

For the sentiment I used the Pennant Flags Dies and Double Stitched Pennant Flags Dies.

I stamped the cake on a white cardstock with archival black ink pad and then I die cut it with the largest Oval Dies. Then I colored it with my alcohol markers and added some sparkles with glitter brush.

These new stamp sets and custom dies are not only for wedding projects, but also for any occasions whenever you wanna share some love through handmade cards with others. I hope you all enjoy these cards and also inspired to create.

Thanks For All You Do, Mr. Bus Driver!

Hello everyone… This week is the last week of school year for all students in States. I can hear the cheers of joy from my own daugthers! 😀 😀 😀 They are so ready for Summer Break. But, this week we are taking moment to continue expressing our gratitude to teachers and school bus drives who have invested their time all year long into our children’s lives.

I have a thank you card for a school bus driver today that I created using the May new release stamps and dies from Our Daily Bread Designs.

On my card, I used one of the patterned papers from Beautiful Boho Paper Collection on the background card. Then I die cut a white cardstock with Double Stitched Rectangles Dies to create the frame and mat.

I stamped the school bus image from School Bus Driver stamp set with black permanent archival ink pad and colored it with alcohol markers. Then I stamped the sentiment on a piece of paper from Boho Bolds Paper Pad and die cut it with Mini Labels Dies.

I added the frame first on the card base with double-sided tape, then the school bus, and then the sentiment label with 3D foam tape. I finished the card with some yellow-white twine. I also glued the tail with dries-clear liquid adhesive to keep the bow tail in place.

That’s all my card for today. I hope you all are inspired. For more inspirations, you can visit ODBD Gallery and Blog to see all the amazing inspirations for the team! THANK YOU so much for visiting me today and have great day!

Joy Clair Featured Stamp: Dad, Yo Da Best

Hello everyone… School is out. Summer break has begun. And Father’s Day is less than a month away! We are looking forward to celebrate our special Dad.

Today, Joy Clair  Design Team members are sharing projects featuring Dad’s Day Clear stamps. Come over to Joy Clair Blog to see the peeks and visit the team blog links to see the full post.

When I saw the Dad’s Day Clear Stamps, I created this card for my husband who is a Star Wars fan. Isnt’ that the sentiment super fun? 🙂 I love that tiny Yoda guy!

First, I created the background. It is very simple. I used a pre-printed card that I had in stash. Then I added the Desert Sand – Memento Dew Drop ink on the card with make-up sponge. Then I added the Cloud White – VersaMagic ink on it with make-up sponge. The VersaMagic added the chalky look on the background.

Then using Mini MISTI, I stamped the sentiment on an oval die cut cardstock. I used the Bamboo Leaves – Memento Drew Drop to create the gradient green look for the sentiment. After stamping, I cleaned all my stamps with Joy Clair Stamp Cleaner.

Then I cut out an oval frame out of white cardstock using 2 sizes of Oval dies. I added it on the card with liquid adhesive. And I added the sentiment on the card, slightly off to the left side with 3D Foam Tape. I did that because I was imagining a planet with ring 🙂

I have another project I idea using the Dad’s Day Clear Stamps. Check it out here for full details and steps how to make it.

I hope you all are inspired today to create a special handmade gifts for the special dad in your life. THANK YOU so much for stopping by today. Have great day!

A Jillian Vance Design: Home Sweet Home Hoop Art Card

Spring flowers are still blooming even though the temperature is as warm as Summer here in the area where I live 🙂

A card I wanna share with you all today I created with some of my favorite stamp set and die sets from A Jillian Vance Design. I am sharing full details of this project over AJVD Blog today that I created using the Home Sweet Home Stamp Set together with the Hoop It Up Die Set, Pop Up Petals Die Set, and Swirly Vine Die. They are pretty together, aren’t they? They remind me of stitching and cross-stitching projects I used to make when I was at school. I am thinking to make another one and frame it to put it on the wall inside my craft room 🙂

Thank you for visiting me at AJVD Blog today and have blessed day!

An Appreciation Card For Sunday School Teacher

There are many special people God has sent into my life and use them to change and bless me. One of those special people are teachers. A teacher is a person who helps others to acquire knowledge, competences or values (Wikipedia).

When I was at college, my professor kept reminding us as teachers or educators we are agents of change. End of school year is so close now, but the influences of teachers does not stop there. They leaves prints in students’ lives and changes their lives.

Today we are taking a look back at Our Daily Bread Designs May Release. Here is the card that I created for a Sunday School Teacher who has been helping my daughter to get to know God and who He is in her life.

On my card I use the Sunday School Teacher Stamp Set, Notebook Paper Stamp/Die DuosCrosses Dies Set, Clipboard Set Dies, Lattice Background Die, Pierced Rectangles Dies.

I die cut the Lattice Background out of black cardstock and added directly on top of the white card base with liquid adhesive. For the next layers, I die cut a piece of gold foil cardstock and white cardstock with 2 sizes of Pierced Rectangles Dies. I added them on top of the lattice background panel with double-sided tape.

I created a chalkboard look clipboard by cutting the base with black cardstock and lightly I added some white pigment ink on it with make up sponge. I set aside to dry while I was working on the notebook papers.

Using light blue ink pad, I stamped couple times the Notebook stamp on a white cardstock and cut it out with the matching die cut that comes in the same set. Then, I stamped the sentiment on top of it with black archival ink. I die cut the clip for the clipboard out of gold foil cardstock.

To put the clipboard together, I added the notebook papers slightly overlapping on the clipboard base with liquid adhesive, next is the clipboard clip with same adhesive. And then I added the whole clipboard on the card with 3D foam adhesive for extra dimension.

I stamped the cross with black archival ink and die cut it with the matching cross die. Then, I added it on the card with 3D foam tape. And to finished the card, I added some pearl gems on on the card.
