Eid al-Fitr and Eid Mubarak Cards

Eid al-Fitr is about a week from today. This holiday is an important holiday for Muslims. It is a celebration that marks the end of Ramadan, the holy month of fasting (more detail here). I grew up celebrating this holiday with my relatives and friends. And I wish I am in Indonesia right now to celebrate with them but I am thankful that I still can celebrate from here by making them some cards.

Today I made several cards for Eid Mubarak / Eid al-Fitr. I found out that Altenew sells this theme stamp sets and LOVE their stamps. On these cards today I used the Eid Greetings stamp set, Ramadan Greetings stamp set, and Persian Motifs stamp set.

They are one layer cards which will be perfect to send them to overseas 🙂

Altenew - Happy Eid

This first card I heat embossed the flowers and sentiment with a mixed of Ranger Princess Gold embossing powder and Whispers Clear Glitter embossing powder. Love the shimmer!

Then I colored the flower with Prismacolor Premier pencils. I tell you, these color pencils are AWESOME! This is the first time I tried the technique that they called “Black Magic Coloring Technique.” Super fun and love the colors just pop against the black card.

The second card below is just simple heat embossing with the mixed embossing powder.

Altenew - Eid Mubarak

I heat embossed the Arabic letter with the mixed embossing powder on the third card. Then on the piece of vellum, I stamped the sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black and heat embossed it with CTMH Clear embossing powder. I added the vellum with Tombow Vellum Adhesive.

The this fourth card, I stamped the Arabic word on Canson Watercolor paper with Ranger Archival Ink. And added the color washes using acetate paper. I these Distress inks: Evergreen Bouch, Crushed Olive, and Mowed Lawn. Then I finished it with some clear and metallic sequins (a present from a crafty friend).

I still need to make more of these holiday cards! When I created these cards, my thoughts and prayers for them as they are still fasting and seeking God.

THANK YOU for visiting today and I hope you all have a blessed day!

  1. What beautiful set of cards! Love each and everyone – but I really liked the first card – the contrast looks just spectacular! Very well done, Helen!

  2. These cards are sooooo elegant and chic. The gold embossing and the flowing letters made me drool! I’m sorry I’ve been such a bad bloggy friend of late, the month of June snuck away from me somehow, but I’m working to fix it!

  3. Love the look at that black card, I have some Prismas so need to try that too … Fabulous cold embossing. Thank you for joining STAMPlorations June challenge, hope to see you again in July’s.
