When Monoprint And Vellum Together

It is the week I am taking an online class at Online Card Classes. It the newest class they have called Clear and Sheer. This is a class about using clear acetate and vellum papers for cardmaking in creative way, you might wanna check this class.

So today, I wanna share a card I made with monoprint technique and adding vellum. The way I use the vellum is a way I learned in the Day 1 class (how to attache vellum) and Day 2 class (mutting pattern paper).

Monoprint and Vellum Card

On a piece of vellum (same size with the monoprint panel), I heat embossed the sentiment and Woodgrain stamp from Winnie and Walter with Ranger Extra Fine White Embossing powder (CTMH). The vellum is soften the bright monoprint background I created using Hero Arts leaf stencil, Gelli Plate and acryclic paint.

I learned there are so many ways to add vellum on the card without showing the adhesive. I handstitched the vellum on the monoprint background using CTMH Stitching Guide. Then added the whole panel on the card base using liquid glue.

Then I finished the card with a glittered chipboard flower that I found in my embellishment drawer. I forgot the brand. But I love this flower becuase the glitter and gem give some extra bling on the card.

It is always a blessing to learn from great card designers 🙂 And I hope you like the card as much as I enjoy making it.

Thank you so much for visiting and taking time to sharw your thoughts with me in the comment. Have a fabulous day!

  1. Love it! The vellum does a great job softening the background and allowing your sparkly flower to shine! Thanks for sharing!
