Christmas Is One Month Away, More Christmas Cards

Hello everyone… I hope you all had a fabulous and joyful Thanksgiving Day with your loved ones yesterday. We had a great time with my family here in USA, though I always miss my family back in Indonesia, too. So… Thanksgiving has passed and now… Christmas is 1 month from today!

I still have more Christmas cards to share with you all 🙂 Today, I am sharing 2 cards I made with Our Daily Bread Designs November New Release stamps, custom dies, and paper collections.

CAS Christmas Greetings

My first card is clean and simple. I simply cut the stripe patterned paper from ODBD – Snowflake Season Collection 6×6 paper pad into 3.25″ x 5.5″ and added it in the middle of the A2 White card base.

For the sentiment, I cut a rectangle black cardstock (2.75″ x 1.25″). On the black label, I stamped the sentiment from ODBD – Jingle Bell Time stamp set and then I added some of the Super Fine White Embossing Powder. I heat it up with my Craft Heater. Adter that, I added the sentiment label on the card with adhesive runner.

I embellished the card with some snowflakes that I die cut some of the snowflakes from White heavy cardstock with ODBD Custom Die – Snow Crystals. I added light blue watercolor paint on one of it. When the colored snowflake dried well, I added them on the card with Liquid Glass glue. Then I added some Silver sequins with Liquid Glass glue.

Merry & Bright Shaker Card

My second card is no-bulky shaker card. Basically, the shaker window is not bulky because I do not use any 3D foam tape. I saw a tutorial on YouTube. Jennifer showed how to make this card so easy 🙂

I die cut A2 White card base with ODBD Custom Die – Rectangles to create a window on the card base. And then I die cut the holly leaves patterned paper from ODBD – Holly Jolly Collection 6×6 paper pad to create the front panel window with ODBD Custom Die – Double Stiched Rectangles. I added the patterned paper on top of the card base with adhesive runner. The window on the card base is smaller so it show a white trim, I colored the white trim edges with Moss Green – Spectrum Aqua Marker fine tip.

Merry & Bright Shaker Card

On a piece of acetate paper, I stamped the sentiment from ODBD Merry & Bright clear stamp set with StazOn black ink pad. I set it aside to dry while I was working on the Christmas Light strings. Stamping on non-porous surface like acetate, StazOn is the best ink to use.

Merry & Bright Shaker Card

On White heavy weight cardstock, I stamped the Christmas light strings with Versamark ink pad with MISTI stamping tool, added some Ranger Gold embossing powder, and heat it up with my Craft Heater. I did it twice to get the thick embossed image. It is easy to do double-stamping with MISTI tool 🙂 After I did the embossing, I colored them with Specteum Noir Blendable pencil colors. I picked the red and green that match with the patterned paper colors. Then I die cut the string lights with the matching ODBD Custom Die – Christmas Light.

I added the stamped acetate on the card to cover the window from inside of the card with Liquid Glass Glue. Then I added some color mixed sequins on it, not too much, or it will be too tight. I cut out a piece of white cardstock that slightly bigger than the shaker window, and then I added it on card to cover the window. I used 0.5″ Scor-pal tape for this. And the shaker card is done 🙂

  1. Both cards are fabulous. Thank you for joining our Word Art Wednesday Challenge. There’s still plenty of time to link more projects. God bless you and leaving you some encouraging verses from the Bible found in Romans 8:38-39 which tells us, “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
