Springtime Wishes: Best Wishes

Still no snow, only flurries and lots of rain until today. This year we have a very mild Winter for sure.  A Winter season with Spring temperature.

But today I am sharing a clean and simple card with Spring theme using my new favorite stamp set and dies, and papers. My card is inspired by the sketch from The Challenge #55 that I twist around 🙂

First I on a Watercolor paper, I stamped the flowers, leaves and springs from Springtime Wishes with Black Archival Ink Pad, heat set them with my Craft Heater, added the matching Thin Cuts on them and then run them through my Evolution Advanced die cutting machine. And after that I watercolor them using Watercolor Pencils using Pentel Aquash watercolor medium brush. When they half dry, I splash some water on them straight from the pencil using the same brush. It was fun. Honestly that was a trial but it worked 😀

While waiting for them to dry, I prepared the card base using Charlotte Papers papers. I added some gold glitter tape on it. And then after every piece well dried, I added them on the card using glue dots and 3D foam tape. I stamped the sentiment from the Springtime Wishes using Black Exclusive Ink Pad. Then I thought those flowers need some bling, so I added some clear gems on them. My card is done and ready to send out.

  1. Absolutely adore this! The use of pattern paper and color is SUPERB, Helen. I was staring my my exact paper stash yesterday and found them challenging to use….love that strip of gold to complete the design, too! Well done!!! Thanks so much for playing Simon Says Stamp Wednesday “Something New” Challenge!

  2. Winter is definitely in full force here! It was a balmy -30 degree windchill today. Whew. talk about cold. Your card, on the other hand is just as warm and inviting as can be. I love the mixture of patterns in the background with that bright pop of coral in the front. Lovely make, Helen! Thank you for playing along at STAMPlorations! I always love seeing your work in the gallery.
