If you arrive from Tonya, that you are on the right track šŸ™‚ But if you are here first, you can continue blog-hopping to the next blog until you make the loop. You won’t miss this hop for sure! There are 12 more CTMH consultants participate in this blog hop sharing their awesome projects to inspire you.

I use the Watercolore Resist Technique to create my projects today. It is just so fun watching the images start revealing when we add the colors on the embossed images.Ā It is magical šŸ™‚

Be Your Beautiful Self

First is project is art frame. I cut Watercolor Paper in 5.5″ x 7.5″ big to fit in 7×5 frame. You can use any size of frames, just cut the paper as big as your frame. I stamped the butterflies and sentiment from Your Beautiful Self stamp set (I used all of the images :D) using VersaMarkā„¢ Ink PadĀ andĀ Rangerā„¢ White Super Fine Embossing PowderĀ and heat them usingĀ Craft Heater. Then I tape the paper down using blue painter tape and started adding theĀ Watercolor PaintsĀ using wetĀ Paintbrush Set. For the butterflies I added the purple and pink using the medium round size brush, and then the background I used lightest blue using the medium flat size brush. And then I fast-dried the paper usingĀ Craft HeaterĀ and with a wet big flat brush I washed the paper from left to right with motion. It gives the blending look of all the colors, you can see there is some shades of purple too. One more time I dried it and ready to be put in the frame.

Mom, so glad you're mine

I also made these cards using the same technique. For the card above I used theĀ My Mother (US/CA)Ā stamp set. On a piece ofĀ Watercolor Paper, I stamped the flowers and leaves withĀ VersaMarkā„¢ Ink PadĀ and added someĀ Rangerā„¢ Princess Gold Embossing Powder, then heat set it usingĀ Craft Heater. I added the light pink on the top and did the gradient wash on it. For the sentiment, I stamped it using Thistle Exclusive Inksā„¢ Stamp Pad and Pixie Exclusive Inksā„¢ Stamp Pad.Ā The border paper is fromĀ Penelope Paper Packet. And I added some Sequins Gold AssortmentĀ andĀ Treasured Puffies. I added the papers using adhesive and 3D foam tape.

And for these cards below, as you can see the same technique also šŸ˜€

On these cards, I usedĀ Someone SpecialĀ stamp set. Don’t you love those big gorgeous flowers? I stamp them usingĀ VersaMarkā„¢ Ink PadĀ and added someĀ Rangerā„¢ White Super Fine Embossing PowderĀ onĀ Watercolor Paper. Then just add someĀ Watercolor PaintsĀ on them using wetĀ Paintbrush Set. I stamp the sentiment usingĀ Black Exclusive Inksā„¢ Stamp PadĀ after the papers is completely dry. I used 12″ X 12″ Black Cardstock as the base mat. I added the panels on the card bases using adhesive runner.

Technique Bloghop: Resist - Embossing & Watercolor

I cannot stop myself this techniques is so much fun šŸ˜€ I also made some cards using the watercolor resist technique.

Resisting Technique is a technique that you first emboss the images with embossing powder, then add some colors using dye-inks, markers, even watercolor paints on it to reveal the embossed images.

Here are some YouTube Videos if you’d like to see how to create using the resisting technique:

Your next hop is Melissa’s blogĀ to see what she has created for you for this technique blog hop.
