To My Friend

We are at end of July already! WOW! Technically tomorrow is the end of July 😀 The Summer is reaching its end soon. I do not know if I am ready for the next season… But I am so very thankful that we have been having fun Summer!

Friendship is a blessing in my life. I met them at school, collage, church, and even on blogging land and social media platforms. They color my life! One of the ways I celebrate friendship we have is by sending them cards, especially handmade ones 🙂

I have been having fun making card every month for a fun challenge called Card Chain Challenge hosted by Deborah. It is a challenge to make handmade card and send it to a friend and you will receive one from another one. Deborah is providing the prompt, color palette, sketch and even…. the prize! Read all about CCC here. You are invited to play along with this fun August Card Chain Challenge by linking up your name here and the deadline to sign up is on August 6th.

My card that I made and sent to my friend for the July CCC that I used the theme, color palette and sketch.

CCC July - To My Friend

I use Canson Watercolor paper as the card base because I created the watercolor wash for the background using Pearlescent Watercolor paints. It is pearl-y and shiny! The stamp I use is from Forever Friend stamp set, one of the Our Daily Bread Designs – July 2016 Bread Basket Bundle.

I stamped the image on White Daisy Cardstock with Versafine Onyx Black ink pad and colored it with Crafter’s Companion – Spectrum Noir Primaries Pencil Set. After that, I added some sparkle and shine on the flower with Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter Brush. Then I fussy cut it with my Non-Stick Micro-Tip Scissors.

Oh look at that… Don’t you love all the sparkle and shines all over this card?

For the sentiment I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment from the same stamp set on a Black Cardstock with VersaMark™ Ink Pad, Ranger™ White Super Fine Embossing Powder, and Craft Heater. Then I added all of them on the card with 3D foam tape for some dimension. I finished the card with some clear gems.

My friend already got the card and glad to know that she likes it 🙂 And I hope that you do, too! THANK YOU so much for visiting me today and have a fabulous blessed day!
