You Make My Heart Flutter

Hello everyone… Valentine’s Day is 11 days away and today I would love to share with a quick clean-and-simple Valentine’s Day card with shade of red inks and cardstocks. These cards can be for kids on Valentine’s Day, too.

I cut out some shade of red cardstock for the background mat in 5″ x 3.75″ and the frame mat in 3.5″ x 3.5″. And then I cut out the white cardstock for the butterfly and sentiment in 3″ x 3″.

On my card I use Hero Arts Color Layering Butterflies that I just got last December from my Mystery Box order and finally got a chance to use them. And Color Layering sets from Hero Arts are one of my favorites!

I stamped one of the butterflies on a white square cardstocks using my stamping tool for better lining up position 🙂 I used the shade of red ink cubes that come from one of the Hero Arts Monthly kit and a black archival ink pad. Then I added some glitter on it with my Spectrum Noir Sparkle Brush.

then I stamped the sentiment on the bottom of the butterfly with the darkest red ink cube.

Done with stamping them all, I added them on the darkest red cardstock mat with adhesive runner. Then I added them on the background mat with adhesive runner, too.

I wrapped around some natural white twine around the background mat and then added the whole finished panel on the white card base with 3D foam tape.

I made these 2 Valentine’s Day cards with this Hero Arts Color Layering Butterflies for my 2 daughters 🙂
