A Watercolored Card and A Mixed Media Tag

Hello hello hello crafting friends… Today, I have a card and a tag to share with you all.

Sometimes, I need extra boost to my crafting mojo and joining some challenges help me to get that boost. If you like me, here are couple of challenges that you might wanna try and play along.

My first project is a card that I created inspired by the January CUTplorations Challenge from STAMPlorations where I got my inspiration from the colors and fashion model on their challenge image.

On my card, I use the CityGirl Stamp Set that I stamped with VersaFine Onyx Black ink pad on a mixed media paper and colored it with Catherine Pooler Ink Pads and waterbrush. I dried the watercolor paint on it with craft heater and then I fussy cut it.

For the background, I use the Hearts All Over ARTplorations Stencil and using make oval brush to add the Catherine Pooler Inks on it. After that, I sprinkled some water and dabbed it off with paper towel for distress look.

And then randomly I stamped on of the image from the Mixed Media Grunge Stamp Set with Twilight Catherine Pooler Ink Pad on it. I trimmed the background panel into 4” x 5 1/4” and added it on a white card with permanent adhesive.

I added the girl on the card with 3D foam tape. For the sentiment, I cut a black cardstock using the Just Becuase Phrase Die and then I added it on the card with permanent adhesive glue.

I embellishe the card with some sequins from my stash

And the second project is a mixed media tag that I created inspired by the January Mixed Media Challenge.

I cut out a piece of 140 lbs watercolor paper using one the large size of the Luggage Tags Nesting Dies. And then I started building up the background using the Evolution ARTplorations Stencil and added thin layer of grey acrylic paint using make up sponge.

Next, I sprayed randomly and lightly light blue Marabu Art Spray and then sprinkled some of the lime green and teal Marabu Art Spray paints on it with fan brush.

I added thin layer of clear gesso on the tag cover the whole using my finger, and then dried it with craft heater. I added some of the Melon Metallic Gelato around the tag edge and blended it in with some water and finger.

I added some glitter texture paste on the tag with Rag Rug ARTplorations Stencil and dried it with craft heater.

I cut out couple of the Bloomdala Bliss Festive flowers with peach cardstock and teal metallic cardstock. I added the peach flower on the tag with gel medium and then added the metallic teal flower on top of it with permanent adhesive glue. I just added the glue in the middle of the flower and let the petals pop up loosely.

I stamped one of the sentiments from the Sweet Spring Wishes Stamp Set on a white cardstock, trimmed it into word blocks, and then I added it on top of the flower with 3D foam tape for extra dimension.

Final step, randomly I stamped the script from the Mixed Media Elements Stamp Set with Twilight Catherine Pooler Ink Pad. I dried it with craft heater.

I hope these 2 projects today will give you some inspirations to create something. THANK YOU so much for stopping by my blog today!
