Hello hello hello friends… Today is still cold winter season but I have a Love/Spring card to share with you… hope this card can sweeten your day.
And today… I am joining the Hey, Love Blog Hop and Linky Party with STAMPlorations Girls. This is a blog hop where you can see lots of Love/Spring themed projects from the girls, and also you are invited to join the Linky Party where you can link up your Love/Spring themed projects and to win lots of prizes!!! More details at the bottom…
On my card today, I am using one of these new STAMPlorations Love/Spring Free Digital Stamps. You can download them here and make projects with them for the Linky Party for sure.
I printed my image on a Canson Mixed Media paper with inkjet printer. I dried the image with craft heater before I colored it just to make sure the ink dried well and would not smear.
I colored the images with Arteza Real Brush Pens and waterbrush to blend the colors. I like using waterbrush for better controlling the amount of water. Also, have paper towel close be is always great.
After coloring, I dried the whole image with craft heater and then I trimmed it around its frame. I added some thin layer of white gesso on it to muted the text printed on the background and give light white shadow around the colored image.
For the background, I used double stacked stenciling technique using the Dots All Over ARTplorations Stencil and Hearts All Over ARTplorations Stencil.
First, I added the It’s A Girl Catherine Pooler Ink directly on the card with oval brush using the Hearts All Over ARTplorations Stencil, and removed the stencil . And then I put the Dots All Over ARTplorations Stencil on the card and I added the same ink on top of on it, then removed the stencil. And there’s the double stacked stencil technique. I learned that from Dina, my friend, at Splitcoaststampers.
I added the colored digital stamp in the middle of the card with E-Z Runner Grand adhesive.
I cut out a piece of white cardstock using the Java Great Day Phrase Die, and then I glued it on a light grey banner cardstock. I added it on the card with same adhesive.
I stamped the two sentiment words from the Pocket Blooms Stamp Set on pink cardstock with Midnight Catherine Pooler Ink Pad, and then I trimmed them in to words strips. I added them on the card with 3D foam tape.
