April Challenge: Mother, You Are Tea-rrific

Joy Clair

Hello everyone… APRIL is here. Today April 1st is special! It is the day we are celebrating Easter Day and also our family is celebrating my mother’s birthday. She is a tea-rrific mother!!!

And this month also we are at Joy Clair blog has a new challenge with new photo inspiration and anything goes theme.

So inspired by my tea-rrific mother and the beautiful photo, I created this CAS card:

April Challenge: Mother, You Are Tea-rrific

I created the background using embossing resist technique with the Tea Party Background Stamp. I stamped it with Versamark Ink on a watercolor paper using the Mini MISTI. I sprinkled some mix Fine White Embossing Powder and Glitter Embossing powder. I heat set it with my craft heater.

After that using smooshing technique, I used the Broken China Distress Oxide Ink and Faded Jeans Distress Oxide Ink. I added each color on craft mat, sprayed water, and dipped the paper. I dried it each time I added color. Then I cut it with one of the Crazy Running Stitch Rectangle Dies from STAMPlorations. I added the panel on the white card base.

Next step, I stamped the tea pot and sentiment from Mother’s Day Stamp Set on a white cardstock using Broken China Distress Oxide Ink with Mini MISTI. After that, I fussy cut the tea pot and I cut the sentiment into banner. I added the sentimen banned on the card with adhesive glue and the tea pot with 3D adhesive glue. I finished the card by adding some white pearl gems on it.

I hope you all enjoy this card today. I like the look of chinese tea pot 🙂 I hope you all also can play along with this month challenge.
