Joy Clair New Release Day 1 | Psalms 118 Bible Journaling

Hello…hello…hello…everyone! Today, starting this new week, I have a Bible journaling to share with you all. It is my first journaling page in 2019 from the book of Psalms 118:26-27.

And… it is an exciting day becuase it is a new release day at Joy Clair family! They have lots of new Everyday Stamp Sets and new Color By Faith Bible Journaling Stamp Sets. They will be showcased by 2019 Design Team Members. Head over to Joy Clair Blog for details of the new release and to see more inspirations. Read all the way to find out how you can enter for the giveaway!

On my Bible journaling page today, I use the new Hosanna Color By Faith Stamp Set. This stamp set is beautiful and great for Bible journaling, making cards, and even for planner. It is also great for the Easter themed projects.

I started with creating the background by adding the acrylic paints directly on the ESV Journaling Psalter Bible page with the brayer. It is no need to use any clear gesso when using acrylic paint on the page, they won’t bleed through.

The acrylic paints dried quickly also but can always use craft heater to dry the paint if you need to. On my page, I let it air dry and the advantage of it is the page won’t be wrinkle.

Once the background dried well, I stamped the sentiment in the middle of the VersaFine Clair Nocturne Ink Pad and acrylic block.

I stamped the leaves on the page using VersaFine Clair Verdant Ink Pad and Green Oasis Ink Pad.

I wrote on the page using the green metallic Arteza Gel Pen.

I added some thin layer of white gesso around the page using my finger to create the white frame.

And then using the same gel pen, I doodled the frame on the verses I focus on which is Psalms 118:26-27.

I added some paint splatters on the both pages using white acrylic paint and Marabu Spray Paints using my fan brush.

I hope that this project inspired you today to create projects and art journaling.

Graciellie Design New Release Part 2 | A Card, An Art Journal, and Giveaway

Hello everyone… Today I have couple more mixed media projects showcasing the new release from Graciellie Design to share with you all.

My clean-and-simple card is made with the new Love, Love, Love Digital Stamp Set. This stamp set is versatile, it is perfect for either masculine and feminine style. I am a big fan of wood slices, and I LOVE that heart wood slice!!!

This digital stamps can be used with any software, even Microsoft Word. For this card, I used the print-and-cut steps from Silhouette Design Software to print the heart wood slice and sentiment and then cut them with my Silhouette Cameo.

I used Catherine Pooler’s Designs Ink Pads (Icing On The Cake and Over Coffee) as watercolor paint. I dabbed the ink on craft mat and pick it up with water brush to paint the heart wood slice image. I dried it with craft heater.

Then, I added some glue in the middle of the heart using Deco Foil Adhesive Pen, let it completely dry, and then added a piece of Deco Foil Transfer Sheet Red. I rubbed it gently with my finger, removed it, and ta-da… there we have a foiled red heart.

I added some white acrylic splatters and gold metallic paint on the heart and embossed background cardstock with fan brush.

I added the embossed cardstock on a white card with permanent adhesive glue, then I added the heart with 3D foam tape, and the sentiment strip on the card with permanent adhesive.

For my second project today is an art journal that I created using the new Let Go Digital Stamp Set. This is one beautiful stamp set that has fabulous encouraging sentiments to use on any type of projects. Sky is the limit!

The sentiments in this set are uplifting and encouraging. They personally remind me to have faith in what God has provided for us in this new year as I walk in through it day by day. He has stored better things for us!

I use the same print-and-cut technique for the pieces I used on this art journal page. I printed them on mixed media paper so I can use various mediums and coloring mediums on it.

First, I created the background by adding a piece of light blue tissues paper on my Canson Mix Media Journal page using gel medium and foam brush. I trimmed the extra with scissors.

White the gel medium half way drying, I added some of the Deco Foil Gold and Teal Transfer Sheet randomly on the page. I simply burnished them with my finger on the page.

I added some white gesso on the page with my finger. I painted the black frame around the page with Stabilo Woodsy Black Crayon and waterbrush. And then using the bubble wrap, I stamped the bubble wrap prints using white gesso.

I colored the Bird House and Bird images with Arteza Real Brush Pens. I blended some of the colors on the birds with waterbrush. And then, when the colors dried, I use UniBall White gel pen to trace the dots and hearts on the birds so they pop up.

I added the images and sentiments on the page with Art Glitter Dries Clear Permanent Glue Adhesive. And then I added the shadow around them with Faber-Castell PITT Artist Grey Brush Pen and waterbrush.

That’s all my projects today featuring the new digital stamps from Graciellie Design.

Head over to Graciellie Design Store to see all of her digital stamps and digital papers, including the 5 new digital stamp sets and 1 new digital papers. You will love these new stamps and papers! Mixed Media Art Journal | Shine Your Light

Graciellie Design

Hello everyone… This week we were learning about being salt and light at our church youth meetings. Though we might have read the message from Matthew 5:13-16 many times, read it one more time will give us more insight to what Jesus say about who we are, our identity, and our roles in community.

My mixed media art journal today is inspired by God’s word in the Gospel of Matthew 5:14-16, “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”

First, I added some watercolor paint on my Mixed Media page with watercolor paints, and I dried it with craft heater.

Next step, I added some paint splatters on the page with Heidi Swap Color Shine Spray and Marabu Art Spray. Dried it again with craft heater.

I used flat brush to add some of the brush strokes on the page with Deco Foil Liquid Adhesive, let it sit to dry in couple of minutes, and I added some of the Deco Foil Transfer Sheet Teal on it.

For the image and sentiment, I use the new digital stamps from Graciellie Design called Dreamy Girls Digital Stamp Kit and the little flower on her, is a little peek of a new digital kit releasing it soon!!!

I printed the girl image on regular copy paper, and printed the sentiments on mixed media paper 90 lbs. Next, I colored the girl with Primacolors Premium Pencils and Colorless Pencil. After that I fussy cut it with micro-tips scissors. I added it on the page with Dina Wakely Gel Medium.

I fussy cut the word Shine withmicro-tips scissors, and then I trimmed the words, Your & Light, with paper trimmer into 2 pieces. I added them on the page with gel medium. Next, I highlighted and added shades on them with Faber Castell Stamper’s Big Brush Pens.

I finished the page by adding more shadow around the page with the Stabilo Woody Black Pencil and smudged it with my finger.

Thank you for stopping by today… Don’t hide your light, let it shines bright wherever you go…

Happy National Coloring Book Day ~ Blossom Bliss Blog Hop

Hello everyone… Welcome to the Blossom Bliss Blog Hop! Happy National Coloring Book Day!!! Today, I am joining STAMPlorations Design Team to celebrate this fun coloring book day and I have 3 coloring project to share with you all!

My first project is an encouragement card. I using one of the Blossom Bliss Coloring Book pages that I colored it with Prismacolors Pencils. The sentiment is from the Faith Expressions Stamp Set. I used the Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle Nesting Dies to cut out the watercolored background panel and the coloring page.

My second project is another card with the Blossom Bliss Coloring Book Page that I colored it using Pearlesscent Watercolor Paint. It looks so pearly and glittery in real live…

The butterflies are from the Trendy Butterflies 2 Stamp Set. I stamped them on white cardstock with VersaFine Onyx Black and then colored them with the Pearlescents Watercolor Paint. Then I fussy cut them with scissors. I curled the wings little bit with stylus for extra dimension to them and then I added them on the card with dries-clear adhesive glue.

And for the sentiment is from the Fond Expressions Stamp Set that I stamped it with VersaFine Onyx Black on a white cardstock and trimmed it into sentiment strip.

And my third project is an art journal. I applied thin coat layer of clear gesso on the Blossom Bliss Coloring Book Page and then colored with Distress Crayons and waterbrush.

I cut out the black frame with Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle Nesting Dies and then I added the colored page on the back of it.

I stamped the sentiments from Faith Expressions Stamp Set and Fond Expressions 2 Stamp Set on white cardstock with VersaFine Onyx Black and trimmed them. I drew the lines around the word to make a thin frame.

On the background of my art journal, I added the acrylic paints with brayer, and then I applied some white gesso with palette knife. Next, I added black acrylic paint using Crisscrossed ARTploration Stencil and make up foam on both corners.

I sprayed some of the Marabu Spray Paints on the page for extra splash of colors. I dried the whole page with craft heater.

And then, without using stamping block, I stamped randomly the script from the Mixed Media Element Stamp Set with Ranger Archival Black Ink Pad on both corner.

Final step, I added the framed colored page in the middle of the page with dries-clear adhesive glue. And then I added the words around the page with dries-clear adhesive glue.

Desert Rose Art Journal – Graciellie Design New Release

Hello everyone… May brings all the beautiful flowers. We have some that already blooming, and some are coming up soon… Inspired by flowers, today I have a Desert Rose Art Journal for this month that I created using the new digital stamp.

This new Desert Rose digital stamp is design by from Gracie. She has beautiful digital stamps and papers collection at her Etsy store, Graciellie Design.

I use this digital stamp on my May art journal. They are just so pretty!

I open the files with flower picture editing program, resized them into 3 sizes and then printed them with my inkjet printer on a heavyweight white cardstock. After that I fussy cut them with micro-tip scissors.

I colored them with Leisure Arts Watercolored Pencils and brush. I colored each of the bottom and tip of the petals and leaves. And then using watercolor brush and water, I pulled the pigment to fill the rest of the image. They turned into watercolored flowers. I set them a side to dry.

For the mixed media background, I started with adding acrylic paints (yellow and red) on my Canson Mixed Media journal page with brayer.

And then using used bubble wrap, I stamped it randomly on the page with black paint.

Once the paint dried, I added the homemade texture page on it with an old credit card. I spread all over the page thinly. And while the texture page still wet, I stamped the Joy Clair – Broken Brick Background Clear Stamp on it to give the wall texture on it. I cleaned the stamp right away with warm water so the texture paste won’t stuck on the stamp.

I added some Heidi Swapp Gold Screen Ink on brick texture and let it dry.

For the sentiments, I resized them to be big enough for the page. I printed them and trimmed them into rectangles. I drew the frame line using Faber-Castell PITT Artist Pen.

All the pieces are ready to be put together. I added the flowers and sentiment with Aleene’s Tacky All Purpose Glue on the texture page. I finished the page with some white paint that I added it on the page using fan brush.

I love finding inspiration from the nature, especially flowers 🙂 I hope you all also can enjoy this art journal today. Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today. Have a fabulous day!
