Color By Faith Blog Hop | Holy Week Bible Journaling and Easter Card

Hello everyone… April is finally arrive. Spring has sprung here and Easter is 3 weeks away… I am so thankful for this season and for new things that God is preparing for us.

Today, I am joining the Joy Clair team for the Color By Faith Blog Hop. We are preparing for the Holy Week and we hope that through this blog hop, you all find some inspirations for Holy Week and Easter using the Color by Faith Collection.

My first project is a Bible Journaling from the Luke 23 and Luke 24 where we all can read when the Holy week started, the Crucifixion, the Death, the Burial, and the Resurrection of Jesus.

I use the Color by Faith Collection: Hossana, My Redeemer, and He Has Risen on this page. It is very simple to do this journaling page. I always like to still be able reading the Words on the page instead of covering them.

I covered the journaling space, top and bottom of the page with thin layer of white gesso.

I use VersaMagic Dew Drops for stamping all the images and sentiments. And I put a fun foam and thicker cardboard under the page to get good result of stamping because my Bible is bumpy with stickers and thickers already.

And my second project is an Easter card using My Redeemer, and He Has Risen from theColor by Faith Collection.

I created couple watercolored background using Catherine Pooler Ink Pads and water with smooshing technique. Then, I sprayed some water and dabbed it off with paper towel for distressed look on them.

I stamped the cross with Memento Rich Cocoa ink pad on a brown cardstock and then I colored it with Prismacolors Pencil and colorless blender pencil. Then I fussy cut it with scissors.

I stamped the cross image again on a purple cardstock with Grape Jelly Memento Dew Drop, then I colored the clothe with Prismacolors Pencil and colorless blender pencil. I fussy cut just the clothe and then glued it on the cross image.

For the sentiment, I stamped the “hallelujah” word with Memento Rich Cocoa ink pad on one of the watercolored background panel and trimmed to fit across the card. I stamped the “he has risen” phrase on a white cardstock using Tangelo Dew Drop ink pad, trimmed it into sentiment banner, and then I added it on the cross with permanent adhesive glue.

I used Double Stitched Rectangles Dies and Double Stitched Oval Dies from Divinity Designs for the mat and frame.

Psalms 63 Bible Journaling

Hello everyone… Today, I have a Bible journaling page to share with you all from the book of Psalms 63.

This psalm was written by David when he was in the wilderness of Judah and when he was on a run. He was waiting for God’s helps to deliver him from his enemies, hungry and thirsty. David was not only thirsty and hungry physically, but also his soul hungry and thirsty for God’s presence in his life. He remembered how God had helped him in the past and had faith that He would help him again.

We often feel in that we are in the middle of the “desert” of our lives, feeling alone, and forgotten. But my friends… have faith and trust in His promises that He won’t leave you alone nor forget you. God will not desert His children! When you come to Jesus and drink from His well, you won’t be thirsty again and you will be satisfied (John 4:13-15).

For my journaling, I use the ESV Psalter Journaling Bible, Blossom – Bible Journaling Stamp Set, one of the Color by Faith Collection, pigment ink pads, heat embossing powder, and watercolor paints. Head over to Joy Clair Blog for full details and tutorial.

Journaling God’s Words In Two Ways

Hello hello hello everyone… I hope you all are doing amazing! There are many ways you can journal God’s word and today, I would like to share two ways of journaling God’s words.

I love using stamps, inks, and various coloring mediums on my Journaling Bible and Art Journal Book. Sometimes, I write and doodle on the pages. On both on my Journaling Bible and Traveler Notebook today, I use the newest Joy Clair Color By Faith stamp sets.

The first way is using a Journaling Bible. You can find many versions of this Journaling Bible. I use my ESV Journaling Bible for this project and use the Rise and Shine Stamp Set and Light Bulb Moment Stamp Set. I used Memento DewDrops and VersaFine Clair Inks for coloring, and for coloring I used Arteza Real Brush Pens and water brush.

My second project is journaling the with Traveler Notebook. I made this traveler journal out of cardstocks, mixed media papers, watercolor papers, and printing papers for the purpose that I can use various kind of mediums for mixed media projects, too. You can find the tutorial how I made this traveler notebook here.

On this page, I use new Reckless Love Stamp SetNew Year New Me Stamp Set, and Light Bulb Moment Stamp Set. I use Sakura Koi Water Colors, Sharpie Fine Makers, VersaFine Clair ink pads, Fireworks! Spray, White acrylic paint, and Gelatos on this page.

Joy Clair has a new Bible Journaling Kit with this new Reckless Love Stamp Set!

You can read the full details and tutorials at Joy Clair Blog today. I hope these two ways of journaling give you some ideas how to journal God’s living word in creative ways.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today. May you all have a blessed and wonderful day!

Joy Clair New Release Day 1 | Psalms 118 Bible Journaling

Hello…hello…hello…everyone! Today, starting this new week, I have a Bible journaling to share with you all. It is my first journaling page in 2019 from the book of Psalms 118:26-27.

And… it is an exciting day becuase it is a new release day at Joy Clair family! They have lots of new Everyday Stamp Sets and new Color By Faith Bible Journaling Stamp Sets. They will be showcased by 2019 Design Team Members. Head over to Joy Clair Blog for details of the new release and to see more inspirations. Read all the way to find out how you can enter for the giveaway!

On my Bible journaling page today, I use the new Hosanna Color By Faith Stamp Set. This stamp set is beautiful and great for Bible journaling, making cards, and even for planner. It is also great for the Easter themed projects.

I started with creating the background by adding the acrylic paints directly on the ESV Journaling Psalter Bible page with the brayer. It is no need to use any clear gesso when using acrylic paint on the page, they won’t bleed through.

The acrylic paints dried quickly also but can always use craft heater to dry the paint if you need to. On my page, I let it air dry and the advantage of it is the page won’t be wrinkle.

Once the background dried well, I stamped the sentiment in the middle of the VersaFine Clair Nocturne Ink Pad and acrylic block.

I stamped the leaves on the page using VersaFine Clair Verdant Ink Pad and Green Oasis Ink Pad.

I wrote on the page using the green metallic Arteza Gel Pen.

I added some thin layer of white gesso around the page using my finger to create the white frame.

And then using the same gel pen, I doodled the frame on the verses I focus on which is Psalms 118:26-27.

I added some paint splatters on the both pages using white acrylic paint and Marabu Spray Paints using my fan brush.

I hope that this project inspired you today to create projects and art journaling.

Color By Faith Bible Journaling | John 17:12

Hello everyone… Today, I have a Bible journaling page to share with you.

I am reading from the Gospel of John 17. It is prayer of Jesus before His last day on earth. So many promises we can get from this chapter. One of them is from John 17:12 that Jesus is our protector, no one can compare to Him!

This journaling page is actually a vellum insert page.I trimmed the 8.5″ x 11″ vellum paper into 7.25″ x 6.25″ that fits inside the ESV Journaling Bible.

I Am sharing full tutorial at Joy Clair Blog. On this page, I use the Dwelling Place Stamp Set (house), Fly With Me Stamp Set (clouds and birds), and Let’s Celebrate Stamp set (strings to make the hill).

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today. Hope you all have a wonderful blessed day!
