Color By Faith Bible Journaling | Matthew 13:45-46

Hello everyone… Today I have a Bible journaling page to share with you all from Gospel of Matthew chapter 13, verse 45-46. I love the truth that we can find from this passage.

the Kingdom of Heaven is like a merchant on the lookout for choice pearls. When he discovered a pearl of great value, he sold everything he owned and bought it!”

The Lord came to search for us and to find us. He left his own kingdom, came down to live among us and to die for us becuase He loves us so much and we are His “precious pearls.” Isn’t that one amazing truth?

I am sharing the project process at Joy Clair Blog today that I created using the new Color By Faith – Bible Journaling Stamp Sets: Pearl of Great Price Stamp Set and  Light Bulb Moment Stamp Set, Gelatos, VersaFine Clair Ink Pads, Leisure Arts Watercolor Pencils, Deco Foil Transfer Gel, Deco Foil Sheet, and Ranger Stickles Glitter Glue.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. Have a wonderful day!

Mixed Media Bible Journaling and Card With Color By Faith Stamps

Joy Clair Stamps

Hello everyone… I have two mixed media projects to share with you that I created using the newest Color By Faith stamp sets. It is a Bible Journaling page and a mixed media card.

I am journaling the passage from the Gospel of Luke chapter 11, verse 1 through 13. It is about the Lord’s Prayer. The prayer that Jesus taught His disciples to pray for. And in this prayer, we can learn how to pray, too. Also, Jesus reminds us that words that come out from our mouth are not suppose just empty words. When we pray it means that we ask God, we seek Him, we knock on His door. Jesus is the door!

Both projects today are also shared at Joy Clair Blog. On this page, I used the I Am stamp set and Broken Brick background stamp.

I started with creating the background. First, I applied a thin layer of clear gesso with brush. Next, I stamped the door from the I Am stamp set with Memento Rich Cocoa Ink Pad. I created a mask by stamping it again on post it note and fussy cut it with scissors.

And then, I scribble Leisure Art watercolored pencil all over the page and blended the color with watercolor brush. I dried it with craft heater tool. Next, I added some shadow around the door with grey watercolored pencil and waterbrush. Dried it with craft heater.

Next step is I added masks on the Bible verses and the door. After the watercoloring step, I stamped the Broken Brick background stamp all over the page with Memento Rich Cocoa. I did not use acrylic block, stamped it using my hand.

I stamped the words – ask, seek, knock – with VersaFine Onyx Black on a white cardstock, then I fussy cut around the words with micro-tip scissors. I added the cut out words with dries-clear adhesive glue. I added some shadow around the word with grey watercolored pencil and waterbrush.

For the door, I colored it with Leisure Arts Watercolored Pencils and waterbrush. For the sentiment, I stamped it and fussy cut it. I added it on top of the door image with dries-clear adhesive glue.

For my second project, it is a mixed media card with You Got This stamp set. I created the background by scribbleing Gelatos Metallic sticks on watercolor paper, and blended the colors with baby wipe. I dried it with craft heater.

Next, I used the Bubble ARTplorations Stencil and White Gelato to add some circles on it. After that I drew the circles around each white bubble with Faber-Castell PITT Artist Pen. It is permanent india ink pen.

I added some white splatters on the background panel with white acrylic paint. I dried the panel with craft heater and trimmed it smaller than the card base. I added the finished panel on the card with dries-clear adhesive glue.

For the sentiment, I stamped one of the sentiments on a white cardstock with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink pad and VersaFine Clair Warm Breeze ink pad using Mini MISTI. I dried it with craft heater and then, I cut and embossed it with ODBD Large Banner Dies. I added the sentiment banner on the card with 3D foam tape.

Thank you so much for stopping by today and I hope you all enjoy the projects. Have wonderful day!

Bible Journaling With Printable Files

The Cut Shoppe

Hello everyone…Today I have a couple of Bible journaling pages to share with you all using printable files.

In the last couple weeks, I am feeling so thirsty for God’s word and His presence. This verses in Psalms 143 are describing my cry to Him in prayer. I long for Him… more… and more…

On my first Bible journaling page today, I am using The Road Trip Printable you can grab this set at The Cut Shoppe Store, but the Summer Sizzle set, you can grab it for free when you join The Cut Shoppe Scrap Spot Facebook Group.

First, I open the files with Silhouette Studio Software, and then activate the Print-and-Cut feature on the software.

I printed the files with inkjet printer on heavyweight white cardstock and then cut them with my Silhouette Cameo.

That easy!

On my Bible page, I added some watercolor paint and dried it with craft heater. Then I added the printable pieces on the page with dries-clear adhesive glue. And then I wrote highlight verse that I want to remember in the journaling space.

On my second Bible journaling page, I used the Summer Sizzle set and the All Tied Up Alpha Cut File on my ESV Interleaved Journaling Bible. It has large full page for journaling.

I cut the alphabet set with heavyweight white cardstock, and then I colored them with Gelato Metallic  Blueberry and waterbrush. I set them aside to dry.

While waiting, painted the grass at the bottom of the page using Gelato Green Tea and baby wipe. After the painted grass dried, I added the printable pieces on the page using dries-clear adhesive glue. Then, I added the alphabets on the pages saying Stand Firm and wrote the phrase “In The Lord” using Micron Pen.

Please visit The Cut Shoppe Blog for more details on my project and also for more inspirations from the design team. I hope you all enjoy this simple post today. Thank you so much for stopping by!

Bible Journaling ~ Fruit of The Spirit

Joy Clair Clear Stamps

Hello everyone… Welcome to Joy Clair August New Release Blog Hop! There are new Color By Faith – Bible Journaling Clear Stamps and also new Everyday Clear Stamp Sets.

For today blog hop project, I created a Bible journaling page featuring the new Fruit of The Spirit Stamp Set and Doodle Lines Stamp Set. Both are 6″x 8″ clear photopolymer stamps and also comes with the digital cutting files when you purchase them.

I am using my ESV Journaling Psalter. The verses I am highlight here is from Psalm 34: 8, “Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good!Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!”

I added a thin layer of clear gesso on the page using foam brush. Let it sit to dry for several minutes. Air drying is better way to avoid wrinkle on the page, but you always can use craft heater to speed up the drying process but this will wrinkle your page. My trick to flatten the paper after using craft heater is to use craft iron.

I stamped one of the images from Doodle Lines Stamp set with VersaFine Verdant Ink Pad to create the corner frames. This is pigment ink so will dry slow, but I used craft heater to dry the ink.

Next step, I stamped the sentiment in the middle of the page and the fruits all around the sentiment using VersaFine Nocturne Ink Pad. I dried them with craft heater.

And then I started to color them with Leisure Arts Watercolor Pencils and small waterbrush.

Transform Me Oh Lord Bible Journaling Page

Joy Clair Stamps

Hello everyone… Today I would like to share with you all Transform Me Oh Lord Bible Journaling page from the book of Isaiah 64.

The Isaiah 64 talks about how the people of Israel cried out to the LORD and asked Him for His grace and forgiveness for the sins that they had done before Him. They realized that the LORD was their one and only Father, whom in His hands their lives were formed and that the LORD controlled their lives as He had planned since the beginning of the creation.

This truth is also for us. We can find peace in this truth by knowing that we are in the hands of the God Almighty, that our lives is formed and planned according to His will, and that God our Father is the one who control every single situation in our lives. We can find assurance in Him by trusting Him and surrendering our lives into His hands and let Him does what He has planned to do in and through our lives since the beginning of creation.

I created this Bible journaling page with these new Joy Clair stamp sets: The Potter Stamp Set, Many Names Stamp Set, and Crackle Background Stamp.

When I work with water color or archival inks, I like to prep my Bible Journaling pages with some Clear Gesso.

I stamped the image with Memento DewDrop ink pad and colored them with Leisure Arts Watercolored Pencils. For the background, I stamped it with Vintage Photo Distress Ink and sprayed it with some water.

I am sharing a tutorial with pictures at Joy Clair Blog today. I hope you all will enjoy the post there. THANK YOU So much for stopping by my blog today. Have a wonderful blessed day!
