A Bible Journaling Page And A Mixed Media Card With Joy Clair

Hello everyone… Today I have two projects to share with you. It is a Bible Journaling Page and a Mixed Media Card using new stamp sets from Joy Clair.

My first project is a Bible journaling page using Color By Faith collection – Jesus Is My Jam. I love David and his heart. How much he loved God and most of the time his talked to God in songs and psalms. Today’s verses are from 2 Samuel 22. It is about his song of thankful to God for delivering him from his enemies. This whole passage fill with praises to who God was and for what He had done to David’s life.

STAMPlorations Typografia In Faith Blog Hop and Giveaway

Hello everyone… WELCOME to STAMPlorations Typografia In Faith Blog Hop! Today I join the STAMPlorations team sharing projects with the new stamp set collection from STAMPlorations, called Typografia In Faith.

Visit STAMPlorations Blog to read and see the full details of the whole Typografia Collection and the design team projects. And… before you leave, do not forget to give each of the designer some love about their project for chances to win giveaway prize.

For this blog hop, I created 2 projects. The first one is a journaling page insert using vellum paper that I added inside my New Living Translation – Inspired Journaling Bible.

To create the insert, first I added the vellum paper (8.5″ x 11″) in between the pages, I traced it with pencil, and then I cut it out with scissors. Or you also can measure you Bible page, and then cut out your vellum paper with paper trimmer, without tracing it first.

STAMPlorations Typografia In Faith - Romans 11:1

I stamped the Faith – Typografia in Faith stamp using Regular MISTI, StazOn Black Jet Ink, and then I sprinkled some clear embossing powder on it. I pre-heated my craft heater for at least 30 seconds or more to avoid wrinkling the vellum paper, and then heat set the embossing powder. The vellum paper wrinkled just a very little bit.

After that, I traced some flowers at the bottom of the page using Bloom Silhouettes ARTPlorations Stencil and Micron Pen 0.3, and using Micron Pen 1 to fill in each flower. These Micron Pens are india ink, so it dries permanently and bold.

I smooshed some of the the Distress Inks on the back of the vellum page to create the night background sky. On this page, I used Antique Linen, Victorian Velvet, Seedless Preserves, Faded Jeans, and Black Soot. After that, using my finger I blended them. It is way easier if you have blending tool, I do not have it 🙂 And then I used paper towel to wipe off the extra ink.

For extra texture and stars, I sprayed from water using Ranger Spray bottle, and wiped it off with paper towel right away. Water will curl the vellum paper if you let it sit too long.

And my second project is a mixed media tag using the God’s Strength – Typografia In Faith stamp.

I created the tag galaxy background using Gelatos and splatter of white acrylic paints. And then using Mini MISTI, I stamped the God’s Strength – Typografia In Faith stamp with VersaMark ink pad, and added some WOW! Jade Glitter Embossing Powder, heat set it, and then stamped again with VersaMark Ink Pad, added some mixed white-and-glitter embossing powder on it, and heat set again. The result is that looks like it has shadow. Kidda make it pop up, don’t you think? 🙂

Those are all my projects to share with you today.

Bible Journaling: Gracious Word Will Sweeten Your Soul

Hello everyone…Today I have a Bible journaling page to share with you all. I am inspired by the truth in the book of Proverbs 16:23-24.

When we fill hearts with God’s words and truth that have set us free and gaining wisdom, we will speak out gracious words that will sweeten every soul. They are like a honeycomb. That is the truth. We can bless and uplift others with your words that come out of our mouth, or otherwise.

On my page today, I am using the Bee Kind – Color by Faith Stamp Set with Gelatos, Stamper’s Big Brush Pens and Sparkle Glitter Pen. Please visit Joy Clair Blog to see the full process tutorial how I created this page.

My bible is so bulky and pretty bumpy with all the embellishments that I used on pages, so I added a piece acetate and fun foam that I cut out to use as mat and stamping mat to put under that Bible page. I also added a piece of craft mat that I cut out to fit for Bible journaling. You don’t have to do this step if you have a flat enough surface for stamping. I skip this mats when I work on my new journaling Bible.

When I was done, I cleaned all my stamps using Joy Clair Stamp Cleaner and wiped them off with baby wipes.

I hope this page will encourage our to continue bless others with sweet words and for you to continue to spend your time with the LORD through Bible journaling. You also can find more details inspirations from the Design team at:

Joy Clair: God Created Us In His Image

Hello everyone…Today I have a Bible journaling page to share with you all. The Bible verse I journal today is from Genesis 1:27

“So God created man in his own image,

in the image of God he created him;

male and female he created them.”

This is an amazing truth to know that we all were created in God’s image. When I was in school until college I had a low-selfesteem and had no confident at all. Not knowing who I was and why I was created the way it was led me to close my self to others. I felt uncomfortable being in the public.

Then in 2001, I came to know Christ and born again in Him. I found the truth. The truth set me free from all of my fears and low-selfesteem. This truth that I was created in GOD, the creator and the powerful living God. I walk in confident that God created me in his image and has perfect plans for me to live my life. This truth helps me to raise up from the ash and self-pity. This truth helps me to know all God has given to me meant for me and to make Him known and show His glory alone.

I hope this truth can set you free, too, today!

On my Bible journaling page today I am using the God’s Focus – Bible Journaling Clear Stamps, Micron Pen, Archival Ink pad, Acrylic Paints, and some die cuts. I am sharing the full post on Joy Clair Blog today. I hope you all can come and visit me there!

THANK YOU so much for stopping by and have fabulous blessed day!

Challenge #282-283 – Anything Goes

He Has Risen: Vellum Insert Tutorial

Hello everyone… Easter is the celebration of our Lord Jesus has risen, and defeated death. God is glorified by the obedience of Christ. We are forgiven and redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ. This is a celebration!

“But the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here, for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead, and behold, he is going before you to Galilee; there you will see him. See, I have told you.” So they departed quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to tell his disciples. And behold, Jesus met them and said,”Greetings!”And they came up and took hold of his feet and worshiped him. Then Jesus said to them,”Do not be afraid; go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee, and there they will see me.”” (Matthew 28:5-10, or read online here)

When I read my Bible, I will write and do art journal on both side of the journal columns, and also sometimes, I will need extra space for another one if my reading end up on the same page. This is when I found the solution to use vellum. I am so thankful for those who came up with this idea before me 🙂 And today, I would like to share with you a simple and easy way to add the vellum insert on your journaling Bible. I use the He Has Risen – Bible Journaling Clear Stamps to create my vellum journaling page. Visit Joy Clair Blog to see the full tutorial.

I hope you all can visit me there today 🙂 Thank you so much! Have a wonderful blessed day!
