Blossom and Flourish ~ CAS Card

Graciellie Design Digital Stamp

Hello everyone… I hope you all have been having fabulous Spring season! We are enjoy some flowers that have sprung at our back porch.

Today, I have another card I created using the new Desert Rose Digital Stamp Set from Graciellie Design.

I started with creating the watercolored background using Distress Oxide Broken China and water using smooshing technique. It is simply dab the ink on the craft mat, spray with water, dab the watercolor paper, and dry between adding colors to crate the texture on it. After I was done adding colors on it, I dried it again with craft heater, trimmed it into 5 1/4″ x 4″, and I added it on the A2 White Card using dries-clear adhesive glue.

For the flowers and sentiment, I opened the files with picture editing software, resized the flowers and sentiment to fit on the card, and then printed them on heavyweight white cardstock using inkjet printer in black and white color. Before I colored it, I dried the ink with craft heater, or you also can let it dry half day or over night. You can plan ahead if you want to work with digital images.

I added just the Metallic Melon Gelato on top and bottom of the flower petals, and added some of the Green Tea Gelato on the leaves. Just add a little bit on them and I used my finger to smudge the colors all over the image, it is like coloring with finger. After that, I fussy cut them with micro-tip scissors.

I trimmed the printed sentiment into sentiment banner with paper trimmer.

I put together the flowers and sentiment with dries-clear adhesive glue, and I added them on the card with white fun foam and adhesive glue for the 3D dimension effect. I finished the card with some Pearl gems.

I love how this CAS card turned out and I hope you do, too. Before you go… Gracie is having a Big Birthday Sale at her Etsy store, everything is 50% OFF until May 31st, and Big Birthday Giveaway on her Facebook Page and Instagram.
