Collaboration Blog Hop ~ A Cup of Coffee and Tea

Coffee Loving Cardmakers and STAMPlorations

Hello hello hello everyone… Happy Friday! I hope you all have been having amazing week… Today, I join a collaboration blog hop with Coffee Loving Cardmakers and STAMPlorations. And… I have coffee and tea themed projects to share with you all.

On my first cards, I use the new Zen Coffee Coffee 2 Cover Plate Die – CUTplorations and Heartfelt Thanks Stamp Set to create these monochromatic cards. It is easy and quick cards to make.

For the background, I created the watercolored backgrounds with smooshing technique using Catherine Pooler’s Ink Pads and water. After that, I cut them with the cover plate die. I used spray-glue on this intricate die-cuts. Other ways to add intricate die-cuts on card is that you can add the double-sided tape – such as Stick It, or Scor-Tape, or Silhouette Adhesive Sheet (or others that thin enough for cut) – on the back of the cardstock before cutting it with dies.

I stamped the sentiment on piece of vellum with VersaFine Clair Ink Pads and dried it with craft heater. I added them on the front of the card with dries-clear adhesive glue and I cut the extra from the edge of the cards.

On my second card, I used the Cup of Bloom 3 Stamp SetAlways Tea Time Stamp Set, and Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle Nesting Dies – CUTplorations.

I stamped the cup on a piece of watercolor paper with VersaFine Onyx Black Ink Pad and colored it with ADORNit Watercolor Cakes and waterbrush. I added some gold splatters on it using one FineTec Gold Palette. I dried the panel with craft heater and then cut it with the largest size of Crazy Running Stitch Rectangle Nesting Dies. I added it on card with the Scrapbook Adhesives E-Z Runner® Grand.

I stamped the one of the sentiments from the Always Tea Time Stamp Set with Purple Delight VersaFine Clair Ink Pad on a white cardstock, cut it into banner, and I added on the card with 3D foam tape.

  1. Beautiful projects, Helen. Thank you for the tip about adhering the intricate die cuts. I use spray adhesive, but have not tried adding backing before cutting. The watercolored bouquet is so delicate and pretty. I admire your painting skills. Thank you for sharing and enjoy your weekend!

  2. Your cards with these products are wonderful. I love the cover plate one and the other card with the floral design elements is gorgeous too!

  3. What lovely cards!! I like the simple ombre wash of the first two cards. Your little teacup card is lovely with the flowers too. The colors you chose are beautiful.

  4. So excited to stop by and see what you were up to Helen with the Stamplorations products – whoot whoot love your first two colorful cards and the flower creation – out of this word – I shall put those flowers in a pot and fill up the cup with some Mocha Mocha – beautiful coloring! TFS

  7. Beautiful cards! I am loving that zen coffee cover plate! Everyone is making the most gorgeous cards, yours included! Thanks for the advice about the spray adhesive. I have Shery’s Bloomtangled cover plates and I use liquid glue – it takes a bit of time, but I like your idea and will try that next time! Thanks for inspiring!
