DIY Mother’s Day Gift Bag

Hello everyone! Hope you all are doing well and stay healthy.

Mother’s Day is just around the corner. Today, I would like to share an idea how to treat a special mom on the special day.

I made this gift bag using the new Happy Mother’s Day Digital Stamp Set and the Sweet Love Digital Paper from Graciellie Design.

I used the Divinity Designs – Card Caddy & Gift Bag Dies to make the gift bag. I cut out heavyweight white cardstock with the dies and put the pieces together using Scro-Pal double sided tape.

Using permanent adhesive glue, I added one of the digital pretty patterned papers that I printed out on a white cardstock and trimmed it to fit on the front bag.

I printed the flower cup bouquet and the sentiment on a heavyweight white cardstock with my inkjet printer in black and white.

I enjoyed the time coloring this beautiful flower cup bouquet using the Arteza Real Brushes. A fun practice for the 30 day coloring challenge this month at Katty’s blog.

After coloring the image, I sprinkled it with some water and dabbed it off right away with paper towel, and then I added some light white paint splatters on it, too. I dried the whole image with craft heater and then I fussy cut it with scissors.

I added the flower cup bouquet on the front of the bag with permanent adhesive glue and then I added the sentiment with 3D foam tape. I embellished the back with some sequins from my stash.

I hope this project brings some smiles on your face, joy in your hearts today, and sparks an idea for your Mother’s Day project.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today. Have a wonderful, blessed day!

You can read the tutorial how to make this Stars Wood Home Decor at Clear Scraps Blog today. I created using the new Star wood shape and Stars wood frames. These are their new products.

After I painted the woods, I distressed them with sanding paper. And then, I glued them together using wood glue. This glue takes few minutes to dry. I put some books on them to hold them in place white drying.

While waiting for the wood glue to dry, I made the blue and red felt flowers. I used glue gun on the felt flowers.
