Project Thursday ~ Personalized Gift Box With Stamps

Hello everyone… Helen is here today. So… Christmas is in less than 30 days now! I am getting starts to wrap some gifts. How about you? Today I have couple gifts boxes to share with you that you can make and personalized them.

I found several YouTube tutorials how to make boxes using Envelope Punch Board. I tried a tutorial to make these gift boxes today. These boxes are perfect for A2 handmade card set or flat gifts. First, I trimmed the cardstocks and scored them but before I put them together, I stamped the patterns on them. I am sharing the full details at Precious Remembrance Shop Blog today.

On this first gift box, I use the Everyday Stamp SetHappy Mail Stamp SetVersaFine Clair – Green Oasis, and VersaFine Clair – Glamorous ink pad.

And for the second box, I used the Everyday Stamp Set, Joy Stamp SetVersaFine Clair – Green Oasis ink pad, and VersaFine Clair – Nocturne (black) ink pad.

I hope this post today give you some ideas how to wrap your gifts in different ways this year. Thank you so much for stopping by today. Hope you all have a fabulous day!

Mixed Media Tutorial | Coffee Wood Slice Ornament

Hello hello hello everyone… I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day with your loved ones. And… Christmas is just around the corner now and I don’t know about you, but everyone in our house is excited, especially the kiddos for sure.

It’s no secret that my husband and I are coffee lovers… and I think we need another coffee theme ornament this year. Today, I have a picture tutorial how to make this mixed media coffee wood slice ornament at STAMPlorations Blog.

I used 3″ pre-drilled wood slice that I got from Amazon for this project. You will need stencil, die set, stamp set, brushes, foam brush, gesso, texture paste, gel medium (or modge podge), permanent archival ink pads, cardstock, and craft heater. And you will need some times to spend to create this ornament becuase the drying each layer is needed.

  • First, add some gesso on the wood slice surface using flat brush or foam brush. Let it completely dry.
  • Add the texture/modeling paste on the wood with the Dot’s ‘n Beans ARTplorations Stencil using the palette knife (or old credit card will work, too).
  • While the texture paste still wet, sprinkle some clear glitter embossing powder.
  • Heat set the embossing powder with craft heaters. Do not over heat it becuase the gesso and texture paste can start bubbly.
  • Apply thin coat of Mod Podge or Gel Medium and let it dry.
  • Stamp the coffee cup from the What’s Brewing Stamp Set with archival black ink pad on red cardstock and white cardstock.
  • Add some silver metallic watercolor splatter on the red cup.
  • Fussy cut the red cup, and fussy cut just the lid and sleeve from the white cardstock.
  • Add the lid and sleeve on top of the red cup with adhesive glue.
  • Add the cup on top of the wood slice ornament with gel medium and add some thin coat on top of the cup also to seal it.
  • Cut the coffee word using the Coffee Word Die CUTplorations out of metallic cardstock.
  • Add the coffee word die cut on top of the cup with gel medium and add some thin coat on top of the cup also to seal it.
  • Add the twine on the ornament and tie it up.

It is done. I hope you enjoy this tutorial and can try it to make your own personalized ornaments for this Holiday seasons. Before you go… enjoy this 20% OFF your order at STAMPlorations Store by using my coupon code: STAMPGIRLHELEN when you check out.

DIY Watercolored Wall Decor With Digital Stamp

Hello everyone… Today I have a watercolored wall decor project to share with you that I created using digital stamp.

I use the new Merry Everything Digital Stamp from Graciellie Design. She has gorgeous Christmas themed digital stamps and papers at her Etsy story that you will love!

I resize the image to fit on a Legal Size paper (8.5″ x 11″). I also added the sentiment at the right bottom.

I printed it on a Mixed Media paper with Laser Jet Printer. If you have Inkjet Printer, it works also with watercoloring technique.

After printing the image, I usually dry the image with my craft heater before color it with any medium. But sometimes I print the image a day before so the ink will dry completely over night.

I colored this large image with Arteza Real Brush Pens. These real brush pens are my favorite coloring medium. The vibrant colors blend well with water or no water.

The process took couple of days for me to finish it. I took 10-15 minutes a day to color it. For me, I love the process and enjoy the relaxing moment.

When I finished colored all image, I dried it again with craft heater just to make sure all colors set and dry well.

I have a clipboard that I hang it on my craft room wall as one of the wall decors. I added the finishes image on the clip board. But I think, I need to put it in a frame to keep it clean and to keep it nice for a long time.

I cannot wait to start decorating the whole house with Christmas decorations after the Thanksgiving Day.

I hope you all have like this project. Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today. Have wonderful day!

DIY Mini Hoop Ornament | Dreaming of Christmas

Graciellie Design

Hello everyone… One of my favorites Christmas projects to make is ornament. And today, I have a mini hoop ornament to share with you all.

I made these mini hoop ornaments couple of years ago with stamps and diecuts for my kid’s teacher gifts. But this mini hoop ornament, I created using the Dreaming of Christmas Digital Stamp, one of the new digital stamps and the Holiday Tradition Digital Papers from Graciellie Design.

I love using the Silhouette Print-and-Cut feature when working with digital stamps. It enables me to print the image and then cut it with my Silhouette Cameo.

First, I open the poinsettia cone bouquet image from the Dreaming of Christmas Digital Stamp with my Silhouette Studio Designer software, resized it to fit on the mini hoop, and then I created the cutting line with Trace Tool.

Before I printed it, I turned on the Print-n-Cut feature on the Silhouette.

I printed them on a Mixed Media paper with Canon inkjek printer.

After the printing, I put it on Silhouette Cutting Mat and cut it with Silhouette Cameo.

I dried the image with craft heater just to make sure the ink is really dry before the coloring.

I colored them with Arteza Real Brush Pens. These brush pens blend really well even without water.

I printed the musical pattern from the Holiday Tradition Digital Papers from Graciellie Design on a white cardstock.

I use the mini hoop to trace the circle on the printed paper and then I cut it with scissors.

I added it on the hoop with permanent dries-clear glue and I added couple clear stamping blocks to hold it down until the glue completely dry.

I scribble some of the Tim Holtz Gold Distress Crayon at all the side of the hoop and use my finger to blend it creating that gold shadow on the paper.

I added the poinsettia cone bouquet on the hoop with the permanent dries-clear glue and let it dried.

And then I printed the sentiment from the Dreaming of Christmas Digital Stamp on a white cardstock, added it on the hoop with the same permanent glue, and then trimmed off the extra paper.

I added some of the Tim Holtz Gold Distress Crayon on the sentiment edges and then blended it with finger.

I added some of the natural burlap twine on the hoop screw and it is done. I hope you all like this project. I will make more with other digital stamps for gifts.

Gracie has a huge sale going on at her Etsy store right now. You can get the digital stamp set I use today also on this Christmas Bundle Sale that you can save 50% Off on those 4 sets!
