Growing In Unity Day 2: More CAS Christmas Cards

Hello everyone… I am back again today as the Growing In Unity Girl. For the next 5 days, I will be sharing with you projects featuring stamps from the Unity Stamp Company. And if you have not yet seen my first project for the Growing in Unity Day 1, you can go here. For this Day 2, I have more CAS Christmas cards to share with you.

Today, I made 2 card sets with 1 design. They are easily mass-produced for Christmas cards. On this card I used this preview Kit Of The Month – October 2017:

Unity Stamp Company KOT October 2017

The first card set, I used the 3 snowflakes and one sentiment on my mixed media cards:

I created the background using heat-embossing resist technique with Color Burst Powder. If you do not have Color Burst Powder, you can also use watercolor paint for this technique. Since we are working with lots of water, I prefer using watercolor papers. Heavy weight 110 lbs cardstock can handle water, but not as good as watercolor papers.

First, I stamped all backgrounds with Versamark ink pad using Mini MISTI. Then, I added the mixture of White embossing powder and Hologram embossing powder on them and heat set them with craft heater. Snowflakes are white and sparkly!

Then I sprayed the panels with some water, sprinkled the Color Burst Turquoise Powder on each of them. And watched them spreading and covering the panel by tilting the paper in random directions… One very little sprinkle can do the magic! I used small round watercolor brush to help some of the color to spread.

I dried them with craft heater, and I added some sprinkle of white paint on each panel with fan brush. I love how each of them turn out different to each other. Just like snowflakes, none of them ever the same!

And then… I dried them again with craft heater and trimmed the paper into 4″ x 5.5″ for the background panels. I added them on the black cards with Tombow Mono Permanent Adhesive runner.

For the sentiment, I cut out white cardstock into paper strips and stamped the sentiment on each of them with Memento Dew Drop Summer Sky. Then I cut them into banner shaped.

I found out that I run out of 3D foam tapes! But I have some white fun foam in stash so I used them as replacement for 3D foam tapes 🙂 I simply cut the fun foam into smaller sizes than the sentiment banners, added them on each back of the banner with strong liquid glue. Once they all dried, I added them on the cards.

My first card set is done.

And for the second card set, I simply stamped the image directly on the white cards with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I decided not to color them.

Then I stamped the sentiment on light purple cardstocks with the same ink pad, and trimmed them into banner shape.

With the same step on the first card set, I added the fun foam on the back of the sentiment banners and added them on each card with the same glue.

I finished these cards with some purple sequins for extra sparkle on them. Card set 2 is done.

I hope these cards today inspire you to create with Unity Stamp Company today! And I entered these cards for the UNITY {show & tell} Facebook Group – Holiday Card Challenge. This week theme is No Red No Green! How about that? Challenging right…creating Christmas cards with no red and no green on them 🙂

Poinsettia Greetings Tags

Hello everyone…21 more days until Christmas!!! Can’t you believe that? I always have last minutes Christmas projects to do… and making tags is one of them 😀 And today I have Poinsettia Greetings Tags to share with you.

I also share this project at A Jillian Vance Designs blog today. First, I stamped and heat embossed the Poinsettia flower from Poinsettia Greetings Stamp Set. I got with plain white cardstock and gold embossing. After I heat set the embossing powder, I cut them out using the matching Poinsettia Greetings Die Set.

Then I die cut the words: Peace and Joy that come with the Poinsettia Greetings Die Set using Red Metallic Cardstock.

Next to cut is the tags. I used the Mini Pearl Tag Die Set. I cut it twice using green cardstock. And then I stamped the phrases from To & From 2×2 Stamp Set on the back of the tag using Memento Tuxedo Black.

Last step is to add the Poinsettia flowers and sentiment die cuts on the front of the tags. I used the strong liquid glue to add them on the tags. And I tied up some green/white twine on each tag.

I hope these project today give you inspiration to keep working on your Christmas project. Thank you so much for stopping by today. Have a wonderful and blessed day!

No-Line Coloring Dog Gone Christmas Card

Hello everyone… I am back again today with a mixed media Christmas card. Today is No-Line Coloring Dog Gone Christmas Card. It is one of the new technique that I tried and need some more practice 🙂

No-Line Coloring Dog Gone Christmas Card With Joy Clair

I am sharing a full photo tutorial how to create the card on Joy Clair Blog today. I created using the new Dog Gone Christmas Stamp Set. This stamp is totally super adorable for creating Christmas cards and handmade gifts for dog-lovers.

No-Line Coloring Dog Gone Christmas Card With Joy Clair

I stamped the images with Desert Sand Mement Ink Pad on a piece of white cardstock. And then colored them with Prismacolor Pencils and used the Colorless Pencil to blend the colors.

You cannot see the lines of the stamped image becuase I stamped them in the lightest color ink so it is easy to color on top of it. This is the no-line coloring technique. It is fun coloring technique to try.

After I colored them all, I cut them one by one using micro tip scissors.

CAS Cards with Joy Clair Stamps, Foiled Paper and Ghost Ink Pad

Hello everyone… I have a couple of cards that I would love to shared with you today using new stamps and products.

On my cards today I used the Rinea Emerald/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper. It is a beautiful emerald green on one side, and gold on the other side.

Stamp sets I used on the cards are from Joy Clair: Salt and Light, Bible Journaling Stamp Set and Faith Quotes, Bible Journaling Stamp Set.

This Ghost Ink is new product from Rinea and I am pretty impressed for the first time I used with Rinea Foiled Paper. What it does is removing the color pigment from the foil paper and create a ghost stamped image. Great for creating background.

To use the Ghost Ink is very simple. It does not need any special thing to do, beside stamp and wipe it off with paper towel. It works well on darker colors, but not on silver or gold.

Come over to Joy Clair Blog today to see the full post and steps how I created these cards. I hope you all will visit met there. THANK YOU so much for being here today! Have a great day!
