Wishing You A Beautiful Season

Graciellie Design Digital Stamp

Hello everyone… We are wishing you a beautiful season… Spring is one of my favorite season and it always inspire me with its colors, flowers, and beautiful sky.

Wishing You A Beautiful Season - Graciellie Design Digital Stamp

Today, I have a card that I created using Graciellie Design Digital Stamp – True Beauty. This stamp set is also available in Spanish version.

I open the PNG files of the window and one of the sentiment with Silhouette Studio software, resized them and printed them on a white cardstock. But, if you do not have this software, you can use any picture editing or even Microsoft Word software that will work well for this step.

I fussy cut the window with micro-tip scissors, and cut out the window slots with craft knife. And for the sentiment, I cut it using one ODBD – Oval Stitched Rows Dies.

I colored the window and flowers with Leisure Arts – Premium Colored Pencils. After that, I blended the colors using ShinHan Touch Twin Colorless Blender Marker.

After that, I painted a simple clear sky and hill landscape scene with watercolor paint and small round brush. I trimmed it to fit behind the window and I added it behind the window with 3D foam tape.

I added the whole finished image on the white card with dries-clear adhesive, and then added the sentiment on it with 3D foam tape, too.

I finished the card by adding some white pearl gems on the flowers.

CAS Sympathy Cards

Hello everyone… This is my second post for today 🙂 And still Spring is my inspiration when I created these 3 CAS Sympathy Cards.

CAS Sympathy Cards with STAMPlorations, Leisure Arts Watercolor Colored Pencils and Imagine Crafts Inks

I am in love with the STAMPlorations – Blossom Overture Stamp Set. This stamp set has beautiful flowers and sentiments that are great for making card for any occasion. On the background, I used the Nestled Circles ARTplorations Stencil with Distress Ink using Monoprinting With Stencil technique. Head over to STAMPlorations Blog to read the full post and tutorial 🙂

But I would like to share with you here how I created those roses… So…about a week ago I received a pack of 30 Watercolor Colored Pencils and I have been wanting to try them 🙂 And this project is my first time using them.

CAS Sympathy Cards with STAMPlorations, Leisure Arts Watercolor Colored Pencils and Imagine Crafts Inks

First, I stamped the flowers 3 times on a watercolor paper using VersaFine Onyx Black with Mini MISTI.

I dried the stamped rose images with craft heater, but this VersaFine ink dries fast without this step. Next step, I colored the roses by adding the color just the part where the darkest shade is gonna be.

And then using a small round brush (or use brush that comes with this pack) I turned the colored images into watercolored images. I wet the tip of the brush, not to much water needed, and then gently I pulled the color pigment from the bottom to top to fill all the mage with color. I did the same way with the stalk and leaves.

Check out how beautiful the colors blended and turn out into watercolor paint… oh… I AM FALLING IN LOVE WITH THESE WATERCOLOR PENCILS at the first try!!! They become one of my favorite coloring mediums already!

I use micro-tip scissors to fussy cut the roses to use on these cards together with the sentiments that I stamped them with Memento Dew Drop Inks. I finished the card with white pearl gems.

Mother’s Day Card and Gift Bag

Joy Clair

Hello everyone… Mother’s Day is a special day when we can celebrate a special MOM in our lives. It is one of my favorite days! I like making handmade card and gift and I have a Mother’s Day Card and Gift Bag to share with you today.

Mother’s Day Card and Gift Bag with Joy Clair clear stamps, VersaFine Clair Ink Pads, and Leisure Arts Watercolor Colored Pencils

I am joining the Joy Clair team for their Special Mother’s Day Event where the design team sharing their projects for moms.

I created a matching card and gift bag with Joy Clair clear stamps, VersaFine Clair Ink Pads, and Leisure Arts Watercolor Colored Pencils. They are easy to make for sure…You can make these for your special Mom/Grandma or even girl friends to show them some love through handmade gifts.

So… Let’s get started!

Mother’s Day Card and Gift Bag with Joy Clair clear stamps, VersaFine Clair Ink Pads, and Leisure Arts Watercolor Colored Pencils

First, let’s make the card. It is a clean and simple card with stamping and watercoloring.

I choose one corner of the watercolor paper to stamped the flower from Bandana Bits stamp set with VersaFine Clair Charming Pink ink pad. It is a pigment ink, very juicy! So, before coloring I dried the stamped images with Craft Heater.

After that, I colored all the flowers with the Leisure Arts Watercolor Colored Pencils at the middle of the flower, and then using watercolor brush with some water, I pulled the pigment to color all the petals. You can see, with this way, you can get the ombre look on the flowers. I dried them with Craft Heater, too.

And then I added the some watercolor splatters on the card by flicking the pigment directly from the pencil with watercolor brush. And dried it again with craft heater… Oh  I tell you… I am loving this new Watercolor Pencils!

I trimmed this watercolored panel to 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ and added it on a white card with dries-clear adhesive glue.

Next step is stamping the sentiment. I arranged the sentiment phrases from Hello Sentiments stamp set on the card, and I picked them up with the Mini MISTI lid and stamped it with VersaFine Nocturne ink pad. Love the bold sentiment I get from couple stamping.

I finished the card with some pink sequins on it.

For the matching bag, it is simple. I used mini muslin bag for this. Make sure you have a piece of cardstock or cardboard inserted inside the bag to prevent the ink get transferred to the other side of the bag.

I put the bag on a fun foam that I used as stamping pad. Then I stamped the flowers from Bandana Bits stamp set with VersaFine Charming Pink on it. Pigment inks works well on fabric, too!

Look at how crisp and pretty those flowers on the bag! I will make more gift bags in the future 😀

Mixed Media Pocket Tag and ATC Card

Hello everyone… Today… apparently it is not Spring, it is Winter again! We got some snow! I hope… the Spring will be here and stay… 🙂

I spent part of this cold day in my craft room and work on some projects. One of them is dressing up one of these mixed media tags.

I have been learning some mixed media technique at Stamp Nation Class: Eat, Sleep, Create – Mixed Media for Cardmakers. If you are not a member yet, you might want to check this forum out!

I created a pocket tag for ATC card. Started with adding some White Gesso on the tag and let it sit to dry while I was sewing some of the scrap patterned papers.

I cut the paper diagonally to create the pocket. Then I added it on the tag with ScorPal tape. I trimmed the extra paper with scissors. Then using my finger, I added some White Gesso on that pocket for extra texture.

I added some White Gesso on a watercolor paper, then dried it with craft heater. After that, I added some of the purple and blue Gelato on it and blended them with baby wipes.

I use Retro Circles ARTplorations Stencil to add the homemade texture paste, dried it with craft heater and then on top of the card, I stamped the sentiment from STAMPlorations Literary Caffein-ations stamp set with Black Archival Ink Pad.

I stamped one of the cup image from STAMPlorations Sketchy Coffee Cups stamp set with Black Archival Ink pad, colored it with Faber-Castell Stamper’s Big Brush Pens. I also use Faber-Castel Black Brush Pen to trace the cups and added some shadow with Faber- Castell Grey Brush Pen.

I trimmed the card to ATC size – 2 1/2″ x 3 12″, insert it inside the pocket tag and add this tag on my Mixed Media Tag Ring 🙂

Before you go… There is a special sale at STAMPlorations Store! All of the stamps and dies are 10% OFF, including all new release — no coupon needed — The discount is automatically applied in the shopping cart! You can even snap them up at an extra 20% off if you use my discount code: STAMPGIRLHELEN (copy paste the code when you check out). Enjoy shopping and saving!!!

I hope you enjoy this post and keep creating! Thank you so much for stopping by!

Mixed Media Birthday Card

Hello everyone… I hope your day is filled with warm Spring weather. Today I have a Mixed Media Birthday card to share with you. I am inspired by Spring colors 🙂

Mixed Media Birthday Card with Graciellie Design Digital Stamp

This Mixed Media Birthday Card I created using the Happy Moments Digital Stamp from Graciellie Design. This is one of the new beautiful digital stamps that she released this month. I have been enjoying coloring and creating using digital stamps in the last couple of months. They give more options to create, for example, I made a wood slice sign with the same digital stamp. Visit this post link to read it and find the tutorial.

DIY Painted Wood Burning Sign With Digital Stamp

First, I opened the flower jar on Photoshop software, resize it to fit on the 4.25″x5.5″ front card, and printed it on a heavy weight white cardstock. I colored it with Derwent Inktense Pencils and Waterbrush. This Inktense pencils, they are watercolor and dry permanent. As for the center of the flower, I added the white dots using UniBall White Gel Pen.

I use Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle Nesting Dies from STAMPlorations to cut the mat panels. I like how the stitches texture on these panels.

For the background, I used Distress Oxide Inks, Dina Wakley White Gesso and Faber-Castell Grey PITT Artist Brush Pen. Patterned paper (expired) is from Close To My Heart. I finished the card with some white pearl gems assortment.

I hope you all enjoy this project as much as I do… Thank you so much for stopping by today! Have a wonderful day!
