Hello again! I know… You are seeing so many shade of red… only because it is February 😀 And I am sharing one more Valentine’s project for another fun challenge for you to play along!
This time, my card is inspired by this gorgeous shade of red color combo/photo inspiration at Joy Clair February Challenge:
Here’s my card I created with Joy Clair – Candy Hearts clear stamp set:
I used the heat-embossing watercolor resist technique on this card with the Gelatos, baby wipes and water. First, on a piece of watercolor paper I heat embossed all the hearts and sentiment with white embossing powder, then I added the shade of red Gelatos on it. I blended them with baby wipes and wet flat watercolor brush. Also I added some splatter of water with the watercolor brush, let it sit a little bit, and then I dabbed the water off with paper towel,
On a white cardstock, I stamped the big 2 hearts with the Hero Arts – shade of red mini ink pads with my MISTI stamping tool. Then using my micro-tip scissors I fussy cut out the hearts. I added some glitter on them with Spectrum Noir Sparkle brush.
I also added some red twine ribbon and pink glitter ribbon on the card for extra bling and shine. I used some 3D foam tapes for extra dimension on the card, too.
That’s my Valentine’s card today. I hope this inspire you to play along with the Joy Clair February Challenge for a chance to win the $25 gift certificate to Joy Clair store. Visit Joy Clair blog here to see more inspirations, challenge rules and link up your project until February 27th!!!
