Mixed Media Canvas: Be Still And Know I Am God

My first mixed media canvas finally done after working on it for 1 and a half day. I am inspired by many artists both here and YouTube 😊 So thankful for so many people generously posted their tutorials.

Mixed Media Canvas: Be Still And Know I Am God

Mixed media is one of the thing I would like to learn more this year. So many techniques and products for the mixed media projet. I am learning and exploring ideas from many artists throught their blogs and YouTube videos.

Honestly, it is tough challenge for me because mixed media is a project that you need to be able to just flow with the moment, freely adding medium as you go to create an art. For “the not knowing the result” is me stepping out of my comfort zone. I read the 5 tips from Rita Barakat at Design Memory Craft blog post and they are practical but the number 5 is the most challenging for me: Let Go. But it is a challenge, right? Expect the unexpected.

Here are the close up pictures of  how I created this canvas from before to after.

  4. What a great creation…Love the pics of your creative process! We are so blessed with your participation in our previous Challenge and would love to have you back for our current Challenge at Word Art Wednesday. I want to share with you the inspiration of God’s Word from Habakkuk 2:3-4 and it says, ” For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay. “See, the enemy is puffed up; his desires are not upright— but the righteous person will live by his faithfulness—.” Have an awesome week!
