Hello everyone!!! Today, I am joining the STAMPlorations 8th Birthday Celebration with these two cards. And…you are invited to join the celebration, too.
There are 3 fun ways to celebrate this special day with us!!! The fun starts at STAMPlorations Blog where you will see more inspiration and more detail about how you can join this 8th Birthday Celebration.
There are Three (3) New Birthday Bundles released. On my two cards today, I used the Birthday Bundle #2 consists:
- Blossom Sprays #5 4×6 stamp set
- See the Good 3×5 stamp set
- Design Blox Template #6 – 6×10, 10mil
- Art Border #2 CUTplorations thin metal die
My first card, I did stamping with multiple colors dye ink pads (rainbow colors) and I sprayed it lightly with water and stamped it on a watercolor paper to get the watercolor look on the image without using watercolor paint.
After stamping, I dried stamped image with craft heater and then fussy cut it with micro-tip scissors and I added on the card with 3D foam tape.
I cut out a back-adhesive black cardstock using the border die to create the border on the background.
I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment on a black cardstock, and I also fussy cut it with scissors. I added on the card with 3D foam tape and permanent adhesive.
I embellished the card with some of the Sunshine Yellow – ShakerBlends.
On my second card, I used the stamping with stencil technique to create that background. I trimmed it to fit the on too of the front A2 card. I added it on the card with permanent adhesive glue.
I stamped the flower on a watercolor paper with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink pad and I dried the ink. After that, I colored it with Arteza Woodless Watercolor Pencils and waterbrush.
After that, I dried it with craft heater and cut it with one of the Manila Tags Nesting Dies. I added it on the card with permanent adhesive.
I stamped the sentiment on a white cardstock with Nocturne ink pad and then I trimmed it. For the mat, I cut a black cardstock about 1/4” bigger than the sentiment label. I used my edge distresser tool to distress the edges. If you do not have this tool, you can use scissors to distress the edges.
I added the sentiment label on top of the black mat with permanent adhesive glue, and then I added the whole sentiment on the card with 3D foam tape.
That’s all my cards for this STAMPlorations celebration. I hope these inspire you to create today. Thanks so much for stopping by my blog!
Two beautiful ways of using that stamped design. Both are wonderful!
They are both so pretty, and so different from each other. Just beautiful…
These are just beautiful. I love the bold black die cut against the soft watercolor look image in the first card. I also like how you’ve cut the image with a tag die in the second card. I would never have thought to do that. Wonderful work!
Hi Helen, love your pretty cards. That new die is my fave and I love how you used it in black, which makes the flowers pop. And I also love the artsy look of the stencil design on the next card.
These are beautiful! I LOVE the colors!
Great cards, that black card stock on your first card is so striking. I love it!
