Exotic Flower Mini Wall Decor

We are packing now for our 2 months mission trip to Southeast Asia, to a tropical country where we will meet lots of people, working on some projects with the local missionaris and hoping to enjoy the special creations of God. In one of the small towns we will be visiting, they have lots of exotic flowers!

Today, I would love to share with you a project I made on request of my sweet friend 🙂 She asked me to make her a mini wall decor for her home.

First, prepare a piece of watercolor paper. Cut in square 4 x 4 inch. Use a sturdy flat base to keep the paper flat. Use Blue Painter Tape to keep the paper in place when you work.

Then stamp the Exotic Flower Hostess Reward Stamp using VersaMark ink pad, add Ranger White Fine embossing powder, heat set using Craft Heater.

Using Aqua brush, watercolor using Exclusive Inks Stamp Pads: Lagoon, Juniper and Pear.

Fussy cut and use 3D foam tape for each layer.

For the base I cut 1 piece of Black cardstock and 2 pieces of White cardstock for sturdiness. Finish it with a Silver Glitter Gem.

All done 🙂 I would suggest to use the Scotch wall picture that has double sided adhesive to put it on the wall.

I am thinking to make one for me when we come back from the trip 🙂

Thanks for visiting today!

More Gifts For Teacher

Handmade gifts can be the best gifts you can give to others. They will know how much you care for them from your gifts. It always has been a great blessing in my life when I receive handmade gifts and cards. That is why I know the joy that we could share with them.

End of school year is almost here. You can make handmade gifts together with your children for their teachers. This is one of the ways we can teach our children to show gratitude to their own teacher.

Today I would like to share with you a project you can make from your heart.

First project is DIY Pen Holder made out of food can, wrapped with scrapbook paper and embellished with paper doily and fabric rosette. I fill it with fun gel pens for the teacher can use for her class. I cut the tag with my Silhouette Cameo and stamped it using Teacher Appreciation stamp set (D1612).

Second project is the paper bag I made for the card set I made yesterday (you read about it here). CTMH Designer Creations collection is amazing! They are ready to be embellished with stamped images, embellishments, complement stickers and assortments.

I used Designer Creations Slate Paper Bags and embellished it with stamped images from Teacher Appreciation stamp set. I added them on the paper bag using Liquid Glass and 3D foam tape.

And Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pads I used for both projects are Black, Ruby, Honey and Olive.

So are you making gift for teacher or buying it? Feel free to share your idea both making or buying, that might can help my readers 🙂 THANK YOU so much for visiting today!

Easter Crafts We Did Together

This year, our Easter week was different than last year. The Little Girl now can get involved with some activities we did as family.

They made some crafts with papers, paint and crayons. I love seeing how they pour out their hearts and love of art in creative ways. Watching them doing it is a blessing and bring joy into our lives. Especially when we can do craft together, that is VERY FUN! 🙂

The Big Girl decided to make some “GIANT” paper eggs this year so we can have some Easter decoration. Here she is creating her cool and colorful giant paper eggs:

And the Little Girl always wants to do what her big sister does, just because it is cool 🙂 She grabbed her drawing book and asked me to draw an egg so she can color it.

And she decided that she wanted to draw her own egg. Look at that, isn’t that cute? 😀 But this art did not make it to as decoration because she ended up cutting them up with her scissors just because it was the way she makes art. This girl has a different way for creating arts for sure!

The next day, we painted the fake eggs we got at the store together. This was a fun activity for family. They got their watercolor paints and brushes, cup of water and ready to make a pretty mess!

The Big Girl painted her Easter Eggs in many colors. It was funny when there was no dry spot she could hold the eggs and she started asking me to hold it for her. She has been having some problem with texture since she was a baby, but she is getting way better after going to school 🙂

She ended up holding the wet eggs by herself and finished her project.

And the Little Girl decided to go with natural and and single color: Black and Purple only. She would say the color every time she picked the color and paint her eggs. Yes, many times we heard, “This is black” and “This is purple.”

For her it does not matter her hands got messy and wet, she loves it! 😀

And my husband and I joined them panting the Easter egga for their baskets 🙂 We had so much fun! Here are our eggs this year:

Dave decided to paint his egg with the kid’s watercolor paint. He was planning to make kinda look like rainbow, but ended up with this colors. He found his artsy side!

I went with clean and simple, no watercolor paint. I used Gold Sharpie marker. I simply draw dots all over the egg 😀 and done. LOL!

So, what did you do with your family for fun this past Easter? I would love to know more creative ideas 🙂 THANKS for sharing it with me!
