Spring & Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop Day 6 – Cup of Love

Hello everyone… Welcome to the Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!!! It is a 1-week long link up party where you can participate and find inspirations from other coffee/tea/cocoa loving cardmakers and papercrafters. And… LOTS of prizes to win from amazing Super Sponsors!

Today is the Day 6 and I have a card and a mixed media tag I created using  Unity Stamp Company – Cup of Love and Our Daily Bread Designs – Pierced Rectangles Dies. They are two the 87 amazing Super Sponsors!

On my card, I simply stamped the girl image with VersaFine Onyx Black with Mini MISTI on a white cardstock. Then, I cut it with ODBD – Pierced Rectangles Dies. I also cut out 2 patterned papers using the same die.

I added the background patterned paper on an A2 White Card, then I added the layers of rectangles on the card with the adhesive glue.

I stamped the sentiment with VersaFine Onyx Black on a soft pink cardstock, trimmed it into a banner, and added it on the card with 3D foam tape. I embellished the card with gold sequins.

My mixed media tag, I created 2 tags from Canson watercolor paper. I added some of the yellow and green spray paints on one tag and then I added another tag on top of it. I press it with paper towel so both tags got the prints.

I dried the tags, and used one of them for this project. On a craft mat, I squeezed some of adhesive glue, picked up with flat small brush, and then brushed some of them on the left top corner and right bottom corner. I let it sit for a while to dry or until kindda tacky to touch. I added a piece of gold foil paper on the tag, and I got the brushed foil textures on the tag.

After that to create more background texture, I doodle circle on the tag using glue pen, let it dry, and then I added the red foil paper on it.

For the girl image, I stamped it using VersaFine Onyx Black using Second Generation Stamping Technique, and then I colored it with Arteza Woodless Watercolored Pencils and waterbrush. I fussy cut it with micro-tip scissors. I added it on the tag with 3D foam tape and adhesive glue.

I stamped the sentiment with VersaFine Onyx Black on a white cardstock and I fussy cut it following the shape of the sentiment. Then, I added it on the tag with 3D foam tape and adhesive glue.

Both card and tag are done. I hope you all enjoy them…

Today I have 2 coffee cards to share with you on this Day 1 Coffee Lover Blog Hop. I created them using Joy Clair – coffee stamp collection. Joy Clair is one of the amazing super sponsors. Visit their blog to see more coffee inspirations from the design team.

When I am thinking Summer, first thing that I came up in my mind is Father’s Day. This day marks the beginning of the Summer. So… my first card is a Father’s Day card for coffee loving dad. We know one in our home!!!

On my first card, I am using 3 new Joy Clair stamp sets that were just released this month. I use the new 6×8 Coffee Talk stamp set. On the background, I use the Broken Brick Backgound stamp, and for the sentiment, I use the new Classic Father’s Day stamp set.

I stamped the background with VersaMark in on a light grey cardstock using my MISTI, then I added some clear embossing powder, and heat set it with craft heater. After that, using sponge applicator, I added some of the VersaMagic Cloud White ink on the paper. I added some splatters on it with Fireworks! London Fog Shimmer Spray and white acrylic paint, too.

I cut a triangle on one of the side of the background pannel, and then using my paper distresser tool, I distressed the edges of the card stock.

I marked the slit gonna be and then I stamped the sentiment with VersaFine Clair Pinecone on the white card. I added the background panel on the card with dries-clear adhesive glue.

For the coffee cup, I stamped it with VersaFine Clair Pinecone, sprinkle with clear embossing powder and then heat set it. I did it twice using my MISTI for extra thick embossed image. To color the hearts in the cup, I dab a little bit of the VersaFine Clair Pinecone on the craft mat, sprayed with a little bit of the StazOn All Purpose Stamp Cleaner, picked it up with small round waterbrush. Yes… VersaFine Clair can be used as watercolor paint with the stamp cleaner… how cool is that???

My second, as you can see, it is inspired by Spring colors and butterflies. I use the Coffee To Go Background Stamp, Coffee Quotes Stamp Set, and Butterfly Kisses Stamp Set on this card.

I started with creating the background using Distress Oxide Inks (Worn Lipstick, Brocken China, and Fossilized Amber) using smooshing technique. It is simply dabbing the ink on the craft mat, spray with water, and dab the watercolor paper on it. It is fun technique to watch how these 3 colors mixed together and create the secondary colors, and turn it into rainbow colors.

To get the layers of colors, I dried panel each time I add color. And then when the adding colors is done, I sprayed it one more time with Distress Sprayer bottle, let it sit for couple of seconds, and then I dabbed the water off the panel with paper towel to get more distress look on it. Once again I dried it with craft heater.

When the background all dry well, I treated it with anti-static powder, stamped the Coffee To Go Background stamp with VersaMark ink pad using my MISTI, sprinkle with glitter black embossing powder, and heat set it with craft heater.

I trimmed the background panel smaller to fit on the A2 white card. I added it on the card with dries-clear adhesive glue.

For the sentiment, I stamped one of the Coffee Quotes with VersaFine Clair Glamorous using my MISTI. Then I trimmed it into sentiment banner and wrapped some natural twine on the side. I added the sentiment banner on the card with 3D foam tape for extra dimensional.

For the butterflies, I stamped them with VersaFine Nocturne Ink and colored them with Leisure Arts Watercolored Pencils. I colored just the top with pink, and the center with light blue, and then using waterbrush, I blended the colors and got the shadow of purple on them. After the colors dried, I fussy cut them with micro-tip scissors and added then on the card with 3D foam tape and glue.

I hope you all enjoy these cards today and I hope you all will be joining us this week and share with us your coffee/tea/cocoa Spring-Summer themed projects at Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog. See you all there!

THANKS A LATTE for stopping by my blog today! Have a wonderful and caffeinated day!!!

Precious Remembrance – Imagine Crafts Blog Hop and Giveaway Day 2

Hello everyone… Welcome to Precious Remembrance Shop and Imagine Crafts Blog Hop! This is a collaboration blog hop from Precious Remembrance Shop Design Team and Imagine Crafts Design Team.

Today is our day 2 Blog Hop. We have 2 Days blog hop events. If you are here today and not yet seen the Blog Hop Day 1, you can go here to see my first project.

I have another End Of School Year themed project to share with you today. This one is gift tags for teachers that I created using School Days Stamp Set, Totally Stamp Set, and VersaFine Clair ink Pads!

First, I cut out these tags the largest size of Tim Holtz Tag Dies out of heavyweight cardstock. For the background, I stamped the lines from School Days Stamp Set with VersaFine Clair Nocturne using MISTI stamping tool.

I stamped the image from School Days Stamp Set with VersaFine Clair Nocturne, sprinkled with clear embossing powder, and then heat set them with craft heater.

I colored the images using StazOn Cleaner that I mixed with VersaFine Clair Cheerful Ink Pad, VersaFine Clair Paradise Ink PadVersaFine Clair Glamorous Ink Pad, and VersaFine Clair Summertime.

I dabbed the stamp cleaner and ink on the craft mat, and then I picked them up with small round brush.

After the colors dried, I fussy cut them with micro-tip scissors and added on the tags with 3D foam tape.

I stamped the sentiment from School Days Stamp Set with VersaFine Clair Glamorous Ink Pad, and I also stamped stars from Totally Stamp Set with VersaFine Clair Cheerful Ink Pad on the sentiment tags that I cut out using the Tag Dies Set. I added them on the tags with dries-clear adhesive glue.

The word “totally” is from Totally Stamp Set that I stamped with VersaFine Clair Nocturne on white cardstock and I fussy cut them with micro-tip scissors. I added them on the tags with 3D foam tape.

The tags are done and ready to be put on each gift bags for my daughters’ teachers. This week is their last week of school and we are so very grateful and thankful to have amazing teachers! We appreciate all their hard works this year.

Coffee Loving Cardmakers and Joy Clair Collaboration Blog Hop

Welcome everyone to Coffee Loving Cardmakers and Joy Clair Collaborations Blog Hop! Both design teams are teaming up to share coffee themed projects showcasing the Joy Clair Coffee Themed Stamps collection.

And…this collaboration blog hop is not only full of fabulous inspirations from the team members, but also Joy Clair is giving away 2 Gift Cards to 2 lucky winners!!! For chances to win, read all the details at the end of my blog post 🙂 Let’s get to my project… I have 2 mixed media projects to share that I created using Coffee Lovers Stamp Set and Christmas Coffee Stamp Set.

I started with creating the background. I found a fun YouTube tutorial using alcohol inks and gold foil that I decided to try. I used Alcohol Ink – Natural Walk Set of 3 and Gold Mixative Alcohol Ink for this background.

I added the alcohol inks on glossy photo papers. I spreaded the inks by blowing it with straw, and I also added some Alcohol Ink Blender Solution for more texture. I let it sit for a couple of minutes, or until it was kindda tacky with I touched it. And then, I added the gold foil on them. I ended up with these unexpected fun results!

On my first project, I added some white gesso on the tag that I cut out of watercolor paper, and then I made some marks on it using toilet paper roll, old credit card, and plastic knife. After it dried, I sprayed some of my homemade sprat paints on the tag. I dried it with craft heater, and then I added some of the tissue papers with gel medium. I added the gold thread with some dries-clear adhesive glue, set aside to dry.

For the cup, I stamped the cup from the Coffee Lovers Stamp Set on one of the alcohol inked paper using Mini MISTI and Jet Black StazOn Ink Pad, and I stamped it again on a plain white cardstock with Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink Pad. Once they all dried, I fussy cut them with micro-tips scissors.

I stamped the one of the sentiment from Coffee Lovers Stamp Set on the cup sleeve with Blue Belle and Purple Delight VersaFine Clair Ink Pads. I added the sentiment sleeve on the cup and also the lid.

I added the finished cup on the tag using 3D foam tape and strong dries-clea adhesive glue. I added clear blog on top of it to hold it in place while it was drying.

On my second project, it is a mixed media card. I created the background with some Gold Screen Ink and White Acrylic Paint. I added them on a piece of watercolor paper. I trimmed it slightly smaller than the card base. I added the panel on the card base with dries-clear adhesive glue.

I stamped the coffee sentiment from Coffee Lovers Stamp Set on the background panel with the Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink Pad using second generation stamping technique to get the shadow look on it. I dried it with craft heater.

For the cup, I stamped one of the cups from the Christmas Coffee Stamp Set on one of the alcohol inked paper with Jet Black StazOn Ink Pad using Mini MISTI. After the ink dried, I fussy cut the cup with micro-tip scissors and then I traced cup with white gel pen.

I stamped one of the sentiments from Coffee Lovers Stamp Set with Blue Belle VersaFine Clair Ink Pad using Mini MISTI on a white cardstock. I trimmed it into sentiment banner.

I added some of the natural twine ribbon on the panel with dries-clear adhesive. And then I added the sentiment and cup on the card with 3D foam tape.

And that’s all about my mixed media coffee themed projects…

Check out all the Joy Clair Coffee Themed Stamps collection and they just released a new stamp set this month, Coffee Talk Stamp Set.

Mixed Media Pocket Tag and ATC Card

Hello everyone… Today… apparently it is not Spring, it is Winter again! We got some snow! I hope… the Spring will be here and stay… 🙂

I spent part of this cold day in my craft room and work on some projects. One of them is dressing up one of these mixed media tags.

I have been learning some mixed media technique at Stamp Nation Class: Eat, Sleep, Create – Mixed Media for Cardmakers. If you are not a member yet, you might want to check this forum out!

I created a pocket tag for ATC card. Started with adding some White Gesso on the tag and let it sit to dry while I was sewing some of the scrap patterned papers.

I cut the paper diagonally to create the pocket. Then I added it on the tag with ScorPal tape. I trimmed the extra paper with scissors. Then using my finger, I added some White Gesso on that pocket for extra texture.

I added some White Gesso on a watercolor paper, then dried it with craft heater. After that, I added some of the purple and blue Gelato on it and blended them with baby wipes.

I use Retro Circles ARTplorations Stencil to add the homemade texture paste, dried it with craft heater and then on top of the card, I stamped the sentiment from STAMPlorations Literary Caffein-ations stamp set with Black Archival Ink Pad.

I stamped one of the cup image from STAMPlorations Sketchy Coffee Cups stamp set with Black Archival Ink pad, colored it with Faber-Castell Stamper’s Big Brush Pens. I also use Faber-Castel Black Brush Pen to trace the cups and added some shadow with Faber- Castell Grey Brush Pen.

I trimmed the card to ATC size – 2 1/2″ x 3 12″, insert it inside the pocket tag and add this tag on my Mixed Media Tag Ring 🙂
