Hello March

The snow is melting away, the temperature is getting warmer, although I am still freezing. So, we are at the end of Winter.

March is a special month for us. First, this week, our oldest daughter is turning 6! We cannot believe it that she will be on first grade next year. But most of all, we are just so thankful to see how she is growing and thanking God for every single moment we can see how He is watching over her.

And this month we will be attending an important mission conference for our ministry in Los Angeles for 3 days. This conference where we will learn a lot about the country we will go in the near future, networking and partnership opportunities with churches, organizations and individuals who serve among the people in the country.

We are so thankful and excited to see how God open the doors for us able to attend this conference and excited to see what God has provided for us and the participants at the conference.

I cannot post any details or pictures about this conference because of the security issue of the country and the people. But, would you please join us in prayer for this week?

And we will have a friend visiting us for a couole of days on the second week. We met her at a conference 3 years ago and become a good friend to our family since then. She has a heart for God’s mission work among the unengaged and unreached people groups. We cannot wait to spend time with her.

Since February, my husband and I started an online training that assigned to us by our sending organization in order to equip us and for our partnership development to go to the field. We have been learning a lot of new things. So grateful for each of our partners who standing with us in prayer and financial needs! I wanna take this moment to THANK YOU ALL on behalf of my family and the people we serve, becuase of your prayers and gifts, we are able to continue doing the training and working from home!

I have a prayer request for my husband’s grandmother who is not 82 years old. She is now at the hospital since Friday evening. Please pray for healing and God gives her strength to go through the treatment. Pray for patient as well. Pray for my husband’s mom who is taking care of her. The hospital is not that far from where we live, so we try to visit her every day. We are worry about her but we trust God has them in his hands and protect them.

But this month is gonna be great because our Lord, Jesus Christ, rules yesterday, today and tomorrow.

Hope you all have a wonderful March!

Thankful Thursday

This week I am thanking God for his amazing gift in our lives, my husband’s and mine. The gift of opportunities to serve the Him and the bringing His word to the Bibleless people groups in SEA*

We are amazed by how He put the desire in our hearts since the beginning we started this journey to go to the people of SEA* and it is all God and God’s works alone we declare!

It was 8 years ago we saw and heard the needs of Bible Translation in SEA*

It has been 6 years we are waiting to go back there and serve the Lord.

It has been an amazing journey of building our partnership team to go since 2012!

We have seen how God have provided our needs in miraculous ways. Each day we feel for sure in our hearts that this is God’s calling in our lives and family to go the people of SEA*.

And we are thankful for the opportunity God has opened for us to serve with Wycliffe Associates this year. God is preparing us to go and hoping by next Summer we will be on the field (click here to find out more about what we’ll be doing and how you can join our team).

Today is the second day we are at WA Headquarter office for orientation and training for what we will be doing from home remotely while we are in States and once we are on the field. Such an encouragement to know how God has been working amazing things through this organization to accelerate the work of Bible translations in SEA*.

Let me take this moment to THANK YOU ALL for all you have done to support and encourage us since the beginning we started this journey. THANK YOU and we never stop thanking God for all of you!!!

God’s blessings are too wonderful for words.

DIY Back To School Sign

Our oldest daughter is off to Kindergarten this year. She has been waiting for this for a while, talked about it for weeks!!! We are thankful to know that she loves the idea of going to school. Our prayer that she will experience what God has stored for her this year at school and He’ll show her favor and love through her teacher. We pray also that she’ll learn to share and love her friends. This Mama is thankful, happy and worry at the same time. This is not only a journey for my daughter but also a journey for me and my husband to put trust in God to take care and protect her while she is away from us.

In the mean time… I get to spend time our second daughter at home, start teaching her one on one and having fun while her big sister at school. She misses her big sister A LOT!!!

To celebrate her first day going to school, I made her a sign… It was a big surprise for her at 7 on Wednesday morning! She cannot stop giggling and reading what’s written on the sign 🙂

I found a black foam display board at home and cut the shapes using my Silhouette Cameo. The cutting files I used are: the girl with backpack is from Patty Young Designs, the big titles “Off To Kindergarten” and stars are from PPbN Designs, and banner pennant is from Samantha Walker.

The alphabet for her name is from Basic Grey chipboard sticker. The butterfly on the girl’s hair, I punched it using Martha Stewart monarch butterfly punch. I also added some sequins on the stars 🙂

Then I made a scrapbook layout also for this special moment. I used Pixelily Designs new Collecting Moment August kit (available on Ginger Scraps and Gotta Pixel):

I pray for all of you, Moms! God is with your kids at school, fully protect and help them every single day at school.

Blessings!

Greater Joy

This is not a coincidence that this week prompt for Five Minute Friday is JOY.

Five Minute Friday

This is not JOY…. It is the greater JOY I ever had in my life with Jesus that I have almost the whole Bible in my heart language! I can read it online, at any time, any where.

I admit that I am crying with tears of joy while writing this post. This is the joy I want to share with everyone. This is the joy that I want those who have not yet have the Bible to have too. This is why my husband and I want to go and share this joy with them. We want to go to let them know that God is alive. God cares. God speaks in language they understands. God wants them to know Him and to love Him.

In God’s word we find the true joy in the midst of craziness of life. In God’s word alone we find the answers of this life. Through reading God’s word, we hear Him speaking to us.

But they won’t have it if they do not have the Bible.

For 12 years my walk with God, I read the Bible in Indonesian and English. My husband went to my hometown in 2007 as part of his short mission trip with Wycliffe (at that time we were not dating yet) and when he came back to Jakarta to see me, he brought back a book of Acts and the story of Joseph in Manadonese. That was my very first time read God’s word in my heart language.

And then in 2012, the director of Bible Translation in Manado, sent me 5 partial books of the Bible in Manadonese and 3 other languages that in one cluster. I REJOICED!

Last night, I got an email from the director and she gave the link to the Gospel of God in Manadonese Online! I am leaping with joy to know that we now have access to God’s Word in our heart language, Manadonese! We have the website to read it now and waiting for the printed one to be done soon!!!!

Wanna know how my first language look like? You are welcome to visit the website here:

Injil Manado - Gospel of God in Manadonese

THANK YOU for all of you who have been praying for this. God heard and answered your prayers for us. PLEASE continue pray for the rest of 400 languages in Indonesia who has been waiting for so long to have the Bible in their languages!

THANK YOU for all the translators who have been working so hard to make it happen.

THANK YOU for all financial partners who have invested financially in this projects for the people of Manado can read God’s word

THANK YOU for administration people and IT supports people who work heard behind the scene. Without your supports, this won’t happened!

To God only I give my praise! He is the one who have started the good work in our lives and He will continue to work until the day He reveal His glory!

We are so close to have the whole New Testament! Almost at the finish line!

I would like to invite you to be part of the mission to bring God’s word to 200 Million people who speaks at leas 1,900 languages in the world so that they can have the joy we have in Christ…. Check out these organizations and please be prayerfully consider to be their partners:

Mission Emphasis Weekend: Salvation Is For All People

20130923-095133.jpg
Last weekend, 9/20 – 9/22, our local church, Grace Baptist Church, held a Mission Emphasis Weekend. There were two other couples who are missionaries shared about the passion God has put in their hearts to serve Him.

We are so thankful for all people who are praying for all the people who have not yet heard the Good News in all nations and asking God to reveal His glory and reigns among the people groups.

We represented the work of Wycliffe for Southeast Asia (where we will be going) and were given an opportunity to share the update of what God has been doing in the last 1 year to the Church. There were some friends came from Michigan and Kentucky and it was wonderful to see them again. We also made new friends with the other couples who shared God’s works through them in other countries.

On Friday evening, we had a pot luck dinner together at the church, meeting and greeting the guest missionaries and getting to know them.

On Saturday morning, the Ladies for Mission of the church also blessed us, missionary wives, by taking us for a day out with them, had lunch and went shopping with them at a nearby mall. We had a blast. And the Men of the church hosted a BBQ a.k.a. grilling night for the husbands, at a member’s house. Dave, my husband, gave a short devotion there.

On Sunday Service, God encouraged each of us with the Word of God, testimonies, and fellowship of the Body of Christ! The Pastor reminded us that the message of the Salvation of for all people, those who live in our neighborhood, in our county, state, country and to all the all nations! God is unlimited! His grace is for everyone!

because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him. For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!”

Romans 10:9-15

Maybe those verses is so popular, or you have read many times, or heard many times from many preachers and missionaries, but would read them again and pray?

There are about 200 Million people are waiting to hear the Good News of salvation God has provided in Christ Jesus. They are living without God and hope. They need to know that they have HOPE!

That was fruitful and wonderful weekend.

He will draw people to His own glory and save them! He is God! He reigns!
