And now… it is time for the Around the World Blog Hop with Joy Clair Friends!!! This is an amazing blog hop where not only the design team, but also there are friends of Joy Clair participate and sharing their projects with you all.

I created my card today using the Hello Autumn Clear Stamps and Faux Batik Technique. Since I am from Indonesia, I would love to showcase the traditional Batik print from my home country on my project.

I found this fun Faux Batik technique on YouTube using GooseBumps Spray. But, on my card today I use the GooseBumps Dauber Top Bottle Shimmer from Imagine Crafts.

I dabbed the GooseBumps directly on the stamp and stamp the leaf randomly on a piece of watercolor paper. When they dried, they were glittery and sparkle!

I use Distress Oxide Ink Pads (Fossilized Amber, Vintage Photo, and Walnut Stain) with smooshing technique to create the background. The GooseBumps texture resisted the watercolor paints.

I dried the whole finished panel with my craft heater and then I trimmed it diagonally.

I used the cut out backgrounds as guide to stamp the sentiment. I used my Mini MISTI and VersaFine Clair Summertime Ink Pad to stamp the sentiment directly on a white card.

After stamping the sentiment, I added the background panels on the card with adhesive glue.

I stamped the acorns with VersaFine Clair Pinecone Ink Pad on a white cardstock, fussy cut them, and added them on the card with adhesive glue. I tied up a little bow out of the natural burlap twine and added it on the acorn for an extra embellishment.

  1. Hello yourself, sweet Helen! I am having so much fun playing with my Joy Clair set ‘Christmas Penguins’ (it’s the only one I have, but I love it!). I have never seen this faux batik technique you did on your beautiful card. I love it!! And it’s a very pretty design. Have a beautiful day!
