Hey Love Blog Hop | You & Me, Love Forever

Hey everone… We are at the end of January! That means Valentine’s Day will be here in 14 more days! Today, I have a love themed card to share with you using digital stamp, and some mixed media supplies.

On my card, I used the Love/Spring Digital Stamps from STAMPlorations. They are FREE STAMPS that you can download, use for your projects, and link up with our Linky Party! It is still open until February 8 and lots of chances for you to win the giveaway prizes.

Printed the image on mixed media paper and then colored it loosely with Gelatos and make up sponge.

I used my finger to add thin layer of gesso around the flower to mute the printed background and added some texture on it. Then I dried the page with craft heater.

Using Faber Castell Grey Brush Pen, I added the shadow around the image and blended it with my finger.

I cut out a pink cardstock using the You & Me Phrase Die Set for the sentiment.

The background panel, I embossed a light grey cardstock using wood grain embossing folder, and then I added some brown Gelato on it with make up sponge to bring up some of the grains. Then, I added some white paint splatters with brush and white acrylic paint and water.

I hope you enjoy this card today. For more inspirations, head over to STAMPlorations Blog to see the extra projects from the STAMPlorations Girls.

  2. What a lovely bouquet, Helen … the soft gelato colouring adds a delicate dreaminess to it … and it’s fabulous against the woodgrain background! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Time Out! Anita 🙂

  3. This is such a lovely card! It is the perfect pairing of rustic and elegance. I love the bright coloring of the blooms and how you placed it all on that gorgeous woodgrain background. This made me smile and I thought it was wonderful from the color palette to the composition. Thank you for sharing your talents with us for this week’s Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!
