ODBD May New Release Blog Hop & Giveaway

Hello everyone……May is here! This coming May 5th is the National Teacher Appreciation Day. Teacher is a special calling. They give their time to teach, tutor and help our children to grow. My daughters are blessed with amazing teachers at school and church. We are so thankful for teachers!

Today, Our Daily Bread New Release Blog Hop theme is Teacher Appreciation. I created a side step card with the new release stamps and dies: Class Act stamp set, Notebook Paper Stamp/Die Duos, A+ Apple DiesClipboard Set Dies, and Side Step Card Die.

I watercolored the stacked book with apple image, glue bottle and also the pencils using watercolor pencils and watercolor brush small round. I had so much fun putting this set card together. The die cuts are great for this month theme and for more school/education theme projects, as well.

My second card is an appreciation card for school bus driver. I am so very thankful for our school bus driver, especially they did drive extra miles to pick up and drop off my daughter because of the new highway construction!

On this second card I use the new School Bus Driver stamp set, Lattice Background Die, Pennant Flag DiesPierced Rectangles Dies. I colored the image with watercolor pencils as well.

  9. Helen,
These are sooo sweet! Lovely ideas for students and parents to give their teachers/aides. I really enjoyed the little cards and thoughtful gifts my crosswalk students and parents/Severe Handicapped students/parents gave me over the 14 years I was a Special Ed aide. Love those kids ~ all the kids I ever had the pleasure to know.

    Happy scrapping,
    Barb 🙂

  10. Such sweet cards, Helen! Not only related to the crafting area, but most of all because you celebrate and appreciate the good people in your life… that’s what we all should do. And I appreciate you also because of that!
    Big hugs,
    Cris
