August Card Chain Challenge: Have A Lovely Day

Today is the reveal day for one of the August Card Chain Challenge. It is a monthly card chain hosted by Deborah. This is a fun way of sharing handmade kindness to crafty friends (old and new). I met lots of new crafty friends through this challenge and sending one of my handmade card to them is a joy for me. If you love making new friends and sending handmade cards, then you might wanna check out this challenge 🙂

Every month, Deborah will have a sign up link up on her blog and you can play along by linking up your information on the recent month. For September sign up, you can go here. If you are new to this challenge, you can read all about it here.

This is my card that I sent to my new friend in Canada.

Aug CCC - Helen Gullett in OH

Deborah provides options for us to create our card. This month CCC, I picked the Product Option – Paper Smooches stamp, Theme – Friendship, and the color palette.

I stamped the flower cluster from Blossoming Buds stamp set on Canson Watercolor paper with Versafine Black Onyx ink pad. Then I colored it with Tombow Dual Brush Pens and watercolor brush to give the watercolor look. On a piece of vellum paper, I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set with Versafine ink pat, too. Then I dried it up with my CTMH Craft Heater.

I added the vellum paper on top of the watercolored panel then using CTMH Mini Stapler, I secured the corner. Then added the panel on the navy blue card base using Tombow extreme adhesive runner.

I love the softness given by the vellum. And hopefully you are inspired today to create handmade card to send out to your crafty friends 🙂

THANK YOU so much for visiting me today! Have a fabulous and blessed day.
