Hello Bloom ~ Watercolored, Eclipse Card

Hello everyone… Today I have a Hello Bloom, watercolored eclipse card that I create using the cardmaking technique called Eclipse Die Cut or also known as Pop Die Cut. It is a fun cardmaking technique to try 🙂

I am using the new Bloom Stamp Set and Grande Greetings – Hello Word Die from A Jillian Vance Design on this card. I also sharing this card at A Jillian Vance Design Blog 🙂

I stamped the gorgeous image from Bloom Stamp Set on a watercolor cardstock with Midnight CP Ink using Mini MISTI. After that I colored it with Pearlesscents Watercolor Paints with loose-watercoloring technique. Once I was done coloring it, I dried the whole image with craft heater and then I added some black pearl watercolor paint splatters on the background.

I trimmed the panel into 5.25″ x 4″, 1/4″ smaller that the A2 card base size. And after that, I die cut the watercolored panel using the Grande Greetings – Hello Word Die. This die is perfect for this Eclipse / Pop Die Cut technique. After cutting the panel, make sure to keep all the pieces!

I added the background panel on a black card base with dries-clear adhesive glue, after that I added the negative pieces of the word die on the card, too. And then, I added the word Hello right inside the negative space with 3D foam tape to give the Pop effect to it.

I finished the card with some of the Pure Gold Satin Sequins.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you all have a fabulous day!

  1. I look forward to seeing your cards, so pretty. Thank you for sharing your card at Happy Little Stampers Watercolour Challenge.

  2. This turned out beautifully! I really like the powerful image this is, but it’s also great on a detail-level, too. I loved your choice of giving it just a thin black frame, too. It is pro-looking and extremely well-thought-out. Thank you so much for sharing your talents with us fort this week’s Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog!
